I bought right at the top at 28p. So I'm praying you are right!
Me too. £4k. ??
Some really big buys though, a few £15k+ so definitely sentiment this is a good opportunity.
Like dumbo here ?? now sat patiently hoping, praying! Maybe I should average down? Not something I've ever done before.
bigbadbob79 - no idea how you got at IPO price, I'm new to all this. As my hl app was going haywire I just thought the price was flying so bought in. Shocker. I'm a holder in eve, I bought in low, I think it will go higher than 9p (last weeks high!).
Think I'm gunna hold this and hope for the best, as a brand play with Beckham potentially promoting I'm sure it can do well when product launch.
@andytr - I know right? I'm not too susceptible to all that so al good.
@Trek1234 - good luck to you too ??
Ok thank you @M135i & @andytr, really appreciate it. You've settled my mind. Friday was not a good day, I lost of this and on Gamestop (crazy I know, but I'd gained 70% on the rise on Thursday - only to lose it again, argh!). I will be patient and wait - hoping.
Haha M135i - thinking of toping up? hmmm
How possible do you think this is? Only just found this thread. I bought in at 27p on Friday - a fairly large sum! My Hargreaves Lansdown app was playing up something awful and I though this share was rocketing so bought in - only to see it plummet straight after. I'm pretty gutted tbh.
Is the sentiment that I'll have to sit on this a while to see any kind of gains (if at all?)
I absolutely don't want to hijack this thread at all. I'm well invested in eve so love reading all the opinions of the potential here. Based on the chat here last week though I bought into CBX - right at the peak 27p :(. I'm so down on that money now and panicking. @seethreeIPO is there a separate chat for this share?
@genius1471, then what on earth happened last week with the SP topping 9.15p - just a freak occurrence as some people got excited by CBD?
Time to top up?
So many tiny buys of 4.70p this morning. I'm new to this game, this is MM's right, manipulating the price a bit? Why do they do this, because they have a seller they're working with and want to push the price up?
Also, full audited 2020 results out mid-end of March, this always comes with a snippet of performance info from the start of the year. Would hope this new more aggressive marketing push in France etc will have wielded some nice growth numbers that gets the market excited, and up goes the SP again.
They're made up to end of 2019. The title of the file:
"06 Jan 2021 Group of companies' accounts made up to 31 December 2019"
I would say it's a targeted attempt to muddy the waters and take attention away from the eve annual update. The leadership team throw out these wild statements all the time, they're know for it. E.g. Sky News reported that in 2018 they sent out a message to all investors saying their next fundraise would be the last one before an exit, and that exit would be in the region of £1billion (Yes, BILLION). They then raised money at a £20mil valuation less than a year later LOL. Twin this with the bizarre PR stunts they do like futuristic plane seats they will never release and it's just signs of an unstable company and management team. Eve has a much calmer well structured approach and strategy, better brand, better awarded mattresses (which.com). Important not trust anything Simba says
.
Hey D-Geeman, agree. However recently uploaded financial report in companies house, show 2019 was a £48mil rev year at a £16.3mil loss (these are significantly worse numbers than eve). NO WAY they over doubled their revenue while completely making efficient all losses within a year. This City AM article and the numbers within it are utter baloney.
Seriously, don't trust Simba's quoted numbers and take everything with a pinch of salt. From word go they have consistently lied about revenue, market penetration etc. It's a weird strategy they have drum up investor interest. Why would they have slashed their valuation from £200m to £20m to secure funding last year if they were trending towards £100m rev? It doesn't make any sense. And impossible to go from £20m to £100m rev within a year given market conditions, competitor landscape etc. I think the founder/investor James Cox is in bed with City AM as they're the only publication that seem to publish their wild figures. I would say they're at a similar rev to eve. DYOR.
