Sunday - disappointingly you wont be surprised to hear i'm not expecting much from the interim results. Revenue will be down - we know that already. I hope we are not being prepped for an increase in costs with a corresponding drop in profitability - most of which was likely spent on the $1.2m SJL shares buyback. The only sweetener might be the intro of a dividend - small as it may be - based on ongoing trading being in line with management expectations - whatever that may be. The underlying message I have picked up is - this time next year.....SB

Agreed Hucks - Next weeks results will be interesting. Sunday - I want to believe you are correct too - but despite all the fanfare of sales and renewals and predictable revenue streams in recent dialogue; the market places value on growth, returns and faith in the management team. Forget all the car crashes over the last five years for one moment (and sometimes I wish I could) – and look to see what the company has actually delivered over the last five first half years. From 2016 to 2020 the numbers are – H1 2016 $7.3m revenue (VIP Launch – with subsequent bad debts); H1 2017 $5.3m; H1 2018 $6.4m ($250K ICM); H1 2019 $8.9m ($3m ICM?); H1 2020 $8.4m ($3m ICM?). ICM was doing $7.3m revenue at the time of purchase – and despite decline is still delivering decent revenue over the full year – even though my H1 estimates may be a bit high. It still makes the point – our core portfolio has generally gone nowhere in 5 years in revenue terms. I know I’m avoiding all the ‘positives’ about swapping premium and brokered sales for annuity style income - but you could hardly say we are a high growth business. In that time our DUM’s increased from 700K to 2.3m. Our share price has gone from 8.5p to 6p with significant dilution post ICM. Toby referred to this year being the last where our revenue will decline in real terms as the revenue stream we don't like are replaced with the ones we do – with next year being one of growth. We shall see. SB

I’m just hacked off Sunday. For a sales and marketing led business I remain unconvinced with our overall strategy. Without our adult domains where would we be? Profitable - I doubt it. And that’s concerning. SB

The trouble I have with adultblock is that it was never part of the 5 year plan - so its a bonus over and above business as usual, and despite the growth in some domains which are decent in % terms, we simply don't seem to be selling enough domains which bring in decent revenue - despite a healthy sales team, registrar network etc. Our cost base is simply way too high for our current revenue growth - I don't get the ongoing partner payments, COGs are what they are and overheads are increasing when we should be reducing. Don't get me wrong - it would be great to see adultblock perform - but you have to ask why we are now focusing on this - is our portfolio simply not strong enough in the ntld space? SB

Let's hope so Scotty.....preferably within the next year or so would be good - or we embark on another 5 year plan to find that elusive 'shareholder value' often referred to but never delivered. SB

We are so price sensitive a 30K sell trade for £2k knocks £2m+ off the company valuation. Nuts. SB

In the absence of any other explanation - I think the link to the daily 1m+ seller reaching his target showed there was market demand - and once those sales were absorbed and there was a bit of demand with no great supply - short term price spike and a bit of speculative interest and hey presto 20%. Reality strikes back unfortunately.....SB

What price did you sell at? SB

I can't get a sell price for anything above a £500 trade - not a great sign at present - although there does appear to be some buying interest at this level but perhaps MM's are sitting on a few shares they need to shift. SB

Morning bakky. Psychologically holding 7p is pretty important. If we dip below we risk a trip back to 6p imo. I was looking at deletes as well - and yes vip looks like it is taking a beating at the moment. Apart from that all others are doing ok. I also noticed Radix sold $1m of premiums in H1 2020 (plus another $1m in premium renewals). So looks like brokered deals are still happening in the wider market despite our aversion. By the time of the result we will be 9 months into year - more than enough to provide full year targets. Still nothing on options - possibly because we are in a closed period pre results. SB

I could handle bad luck Sunday - that's just life - the issue we all have here is the amount of self created misfortune the company has almost constantly had to address for the last 5 years - a lot of it hidden from sight. I think we just need the confidence that we don't have to keep looking in the rear view mirror and the road ahead is a three lane domain sales highway! SB

I guess it would have been nice to see some news this morning – but let’s not be too despondent. We got a bit of momentum on Friday – very welcome – and there was a catalyst somewhere – we might find out, we might not. Remember also that mmx is registered in the British Virgin Islands – and as such its jurisdiction might impact on the timing on when corporate announcements are made – although we would also need to comply with AIM as our listing market. We know we will hear from the company in the next two weeks – somewhere around the 22nd – and at that point our brokers will have an update on anticipated full year guidance – presumably with something for the year to 2021 as well. I agree any leak on a relatively small dividend might not have accounted for Fridays rise – but moving into an era where the company is providing a yield is a good story nonetheless and would help to attract investors. Pre covid we were 7.5p/8p anticipating good results, divi etc – so it would be good to get back there and push on – unless there is some corporate activity. Gents - just to clarify - 10p was the price I believe we should be at now. I reiterate previous thoughts - 12p gets us talking, 14p shows a buyer is serious, 16p is into deal territory. 13/14p triggers most of Toby and Michaels options. Most IIs are likely averaging 8p purchase. You can see how the maths would work. IF - adult block is seen as a winner and all else is growing and we have dealt with all legacy issues - it would make sense from a timing point of view to have the conversation. SB

Hi all. The share trading over the last two weeks was unusual - with what appeared to be a large seller offloading 1-2m per day at c.6.2p - but without any impact on price. Then at the AGM Michael fluffed over the new GTLD programme; Guy wasn’t exactly prepared for the dividend question despite the 100% certainty that question would be asked. Then one decent trade on Friday morning at 6.38p - then as we know a wave of purchases moving the price 20%. There was also some US based activity coming though on the London stock exchange feed - not huge but it was there. In total 4.1m shares traded - so hardly significant- but the demand was significant. It would be quite a coincidence if there isn’t something afoot here. The problem we have always had - if there is any interest - is there are probably bargain hunters in the market. The good thing is / we don’t need to sell to bargain hunters. Let’s hope as a minimum we are seeing a valuation rerate with a minimum 10p target for starters. SB

What was most encouraging was the continued buying right up to and into the close - not big on volume but sustained. UT was at 7.5p. Will be interesting to see if there are any delayed trades - something lit up the price. SB

Looks like our seller is out for now. Missed out on a decent increase - but as noted that might have been the reason the price was being held up to allow an exit - probably in the region of 12/15m shares in last 10 days. Still some way to go to 8.5p pre Covid - and the rest.....! SB

Scotty - there was a decent law registration yesterday - 400 names - not huge but what appears to be a few premium sales. Just debating who was buying - given historic restrictions on who could/could not buy law. More importantly - we are possibly moving in price.....SB
