The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
I do remeber KC going to Korea many many moons ago and having early talks with those companies , if my memory serves me correctly. CATL im sure would love to take what Cinovec could produce too ,EU seem to want it to stay out of Chinese hands but then they want evewrything to be European and the companies making the batteries are Korean, Chinese and others European , BASF, UMICORE,A 123 and thats from EMH map
So VW have a Gauranteed supply up to 20 28 are in no hurry to decide on Giga factory, where is that Gauranteed supply coming from? could be in part still Cinovec without Giga factory or with it later??
negotiating tactics, it is a business so chasing the best offer that suits VW
I hope that the, European Critical Raw Materials Board will get itself together and not slow the very processes they are there to speed up by entering into months of disscussions before they decide which projects are deemed "Strategic" im sure Cinovec will be but How quickly that happens.... come on EU Show you can move as fast as you want the very thing you are trying to speed up!!!
cheers for your thoughts guys im pondering my options .

loans Grants ? IRA why Grants for some and loans for others interesting, and if Critical Raw Materials ACT is to MATCH the IRA ........
I wonder if any of you guys can give your opinion on the following,
We all buy dividend stocks for the dividend s what ever they may be and also hope that we bought in low enough to see a profit from growth if we were to sell them at a later date, now I wondered , as the government are reducing the capital gains tax allowence down to £ 6, 000 next year and £ 3,000 after that. Is there ever a time to buy a dividend share at the time when most people would either hold or sell them , so as you dont make too larger profit or none but you get the Dividends of course. I know it sounds potty ish but???
this could be Cinovec???
"This is not about lowering environmental standards, on the contrary: some frontrunners in Europe are even creating new world standards for sustainable underground mining."
I just wonder at some countries, either they want to stop using ICE and have a much cleaner planet or they want to carry on polluting it and causeing so much damage to the planet? for those countries complaining ,is it a case of our car industry CANT go electric thus we wont have an industry or some thing else ? seems to me they only care about themselves and not the bigger picture..... well US seem to care AND have done some ting about it, if the EU dont as a whole the EU car industry is going to be doomed IMO
I guess the fact that there will be a Sovereign fund is good but what the Criteria for accessing the fund and How much can be got from the fund is the thing and who gets it exactly.....?
LLInv who with out of interest?
£ 1.40??????? why such a low figure? we have reached the £1.00 level with a lot less derisked than now, This company is worth minimum of 1 billion easily if not more ,
well Zinnwalde are down more than EMH and they dont have the Czech Government permmitting them so maybe todays drop is down to some thing else,
I belive its permitting that is more important than DFS and that could be done anytime, and DFS was said to be was it 4th quater 2023, and off takes maybe before then. if permitting is the hold up and thats down to the Government deparment responsible, why would they do that? when its beneficial for the Government to have people in Jobs and CEZ making money from their investment as soon as possible so they get a return, why wouldnt CEZ want this to happen ASAP? if EMH are there or not, fair market value isnt determined from share price, I wont vote for any p@ss pot offer,
"Where would the batteries from the gigafactory be transported to?
The gigafactory would supply Group factories within a 250 km radius (five Volkswagen Group plants in the CEE region). We expect that most of the battery cells would travel by rail to ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav."
“The automotive industry accounts for 10% of GDP and 25% of the Czech Republic’s exports, and hundreds of other companies and tens of thousands of employees are linked to car manufacturers. If we want this sector to play a significant role in the future, we need to adapt to the changes taking place in it. If the Volkswagen Group confirms the project, it will be the largest private investment in the history of the independent Czech Republic.”
"The Czech government has unequivocally declared its support for the Volkswagen Group to build one of its six planned battery cell factories – a so-called gigafactory – in the Czech Republic."
the article mentions " The investor" on many occassions so you would assume they know Who that is.
"The government unequivocally says that actual construction work on the creation of the zone can only begin after the strategic investor agrees to the location of his investment in the Czech Republic."
That I take it is VW? or and LG? or some one else entirely???
Question. How do VW know How long it might take for ecological mining to start in the Czech rep? Have they been told by CEZ that this date ( approx) what ever that might be? will see Cinovec producing? and thus they need to get supplies from elsewhere meanwhile?VW arent going to tell anyone where they are getting their Lithium from until contracts are signed im sure .
or is it a simple negotiating ploy in that VW are saying they are not relying on CEZ for the production of Lithium, which no company should put eggs in one basket, the negotiations are still on going.
Other interested parties LG them selves may well be having conversations amongst others of course,
Supply park? ( not fully read article yet)
