George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
It’s interesting that Fraser Group increased their
stake this afternoon together with the other 2
big players in the race. Would this be a three way fight? Can some experienced investors throw some
light as to who can bid first and how would it
eventually play out? Can 2 parties join hands ?
take control of ASOS.
We will see the sp exceed 400 tomorrow before the bank
holiday weekend. Fingers crossed hope for the
best unlike today it fell to 360 once & then climbing to 388 as the afternoon progressed. This seems
be the pattern past few days unless Shorters playing
the game!
Fraser group currently holds 10-59% of
ASOS that is equivalent to just over
12-5 million shares value approx 61 million
pounds. Can he not up his stake or are there any
restrictions? Interested if anyone has any insight into
this?
Fraser group very keen to up their stake in
ASOS. Mike’s ambition to acquire ASOS
looks very likely and would not surprise
anyone if a bid is being formalised. Watch out for
the Sunday papers. Fingers crossed.
Call it shorts closing or games being played
by the big boys/ this practice has to be
looked into by various authorities as this has gone
on for far too long. Understandably this will
recover substantially tomorrow but sadly there is no
level playing field.
Hi most of us are in the same boat. With all this
media speculation it certainly looks like that an offer to buy will happen very soon. Three large companies
have substantial holdings and I am very surprised that the price has kept dropping past 4 days. Something fishy! Trade update so soon next week
may throw some light but one has to stay calm and
patient in my humble opinion !
If the offer was made in December, why has the
share price kept falling? Sunday Times have
released this article almost 6 months later …why?
Both parties: no comment? Is there something
we all don’t know? Offer revived? Directors
purchase would be illegal if there was something
brewing? Is there another bidder? Confused!
ASOS is far too undervalued despite recent
share issue & new funding in place. The fact that
a bid has surfaced indicates the big boys
(Next in particular) will jump at it and strike a deal
between £5-8 pound. Ali Baba backed this Turkish
Co would have done their homework many months
ago. They plan well ahead. Surprising the Shorters
kept selling past 5-7 days despite the American
market shot up 700 points and excellent jobs report.
I suspect lot of them will have regretted selling
knowing full well that after THG it was very likely
that ASC or Boohoo would be potential targets.
Good luck to those who held their nerves!
The fact that it has closed under a £ tells me
that it might be a damp squib after all !!One would
have expected to have closed around 1-20 and
early momentum has fizzled out! Though one
can never tell come Tuesday 7am. With 500 million
losses it is difficult to comprehend how Apollo
would table an offer in excess of £2?
MM does not wish to let go till September when
he may want to take the company private and
keep control. Fingers crossed, either way we will
I am sure here it on sky or Sunday papers.
Very quiet this morning! Wandering weather
it will pick up this afternoon? Surely if there
was a hint of an offer being tabled next week
this would be 125 plus considering it had reached
119 at one point a few days ago. Something seems
to be cooking? Or is this a deliberate ploy by
the Shorters to keep sp flat till 4-15pm &
then pound on it?
Yes I agree. Media should be penalised for
Fake News (Hope Trump gets in and passes a law
applicable to all!)
Big boys enjoy the tree shake ( surely if there is
collusion) this would be illegal. Stock market regulatory authorities need to look into this as many
small novices/ retired folks end up loosing their
hard earned cash. As it is times are hard and these
shorters should all be locked up for good. Hope
Apollo make an offer MM cannot turn down!!
