I don’t think GL is coming next week but they will have to consider Phulbari at some point and I believe GCM will be trying to re-engage with both the interim government and other parties.

You open pit mine Phulbari and it provides some level of energy security…the remaining energy can be a green mix or whatever they choose

One look back through your posts it’s fairly clear your agenda. Some of us have been hear 20yrs plus…it’s as positive as it’s been in years. Bangladesh needs clean coal, how is Bangladesh going to move forward without a primary energy source? Answer me this?….

Bangladesh have a simple choice, they either make sensible decisions supporting their energy security or they continue to scratch the surface and hamstring their development.

Other countries have made difficult decisions and exploited their own resources, “leave it in the ground for future generations” what a crock, you use it or you live in its shadow and continue to weaken the countries finances.

…I think GCM and Tang are at a crossroads to and if the country continues to do nothing then litigate. Not that it will be positive in the slightest.

Hasina was the reason this project has never been given a chance and why we are sat at 3p…it might drift up and down but sooner or later with news flow out of Bangladesh this will start to move. The events this week are unbelievable news for us and I don’t think that can be underestimated.

I’m guessing that a new interim government’s priority is stability then setting a new election date. Khalida Zia you would think would run and we know her stance. Energy security would be a big part of plans going forward and Phulbari gets them closer to a greener mix with its low sulphur, high quality coal.

Hasina, although I was ever hopeful, would not approved Phulbari open pit.

It looks like stake building for a takeover but you would have to expect a holdings RNS unless they haven’t stopped buying. But where are they getting the shares from? The volumes means that shares must have changed hands multiple times.

Agreed Searcher. Someone has been churning shares in the last 2-3 months. The price has been held, but why - complete radio silence from the company. Hasina has very few options left…the country has no money and plenty of debts.

I for one didn’t expect anything to come out of the china trip but the fact we haven’t drifted and held shouts to me something bigger is going on.
