There's a lot of giddy folks in here, is this what holding mining stock long term does to people? I think I'll be happy if this goes past 0.7p today and steadily but surely gains as they ramp up towards production over the next year or 2.

Let's be honest, this isn't really just going to explode, at least not right now. Slow and steady wins the race.

Thank you for the responses, it's obviously much clearer now that GGP is going places, perhaps less so just last year, before the full Telfer and Hav acquisitions. I guess for me as a new comer to this kind of mining stock, if you make your move too late you miss out on those huge, life changing rises. However if the Lassonde curve holds true, as it usually seems to, then we are all at the very beginning of something very special.

I've only recently put a position in to GGP, so a multi-multi-multi bagger would be hard for me at this point, however I think I will at the very least double my money this year and who knows how much more if I hold longer term.

My question is for you LTH, why did you get in to GGP in the first place? What was it about this company that persuaded you to invest in this junior miner (as it was 10+ years ago) back then? I'm slowly understanding the allure of cheap AIM stock and how fortunes can be made on the smallest of news (they can obviously also be lost quite quickly too!). I have a few positions in other much cheaper mining stock that are almost at production, so hoping for big moves from them soon too. But AIM and mining stock does feel like a casino at times, who knows if you'll hit the jackpot!

Amazon is 1 of 2 US that I still hold in my ISA portfolio. I have only just broken even after mistiming the bottom! I'll probably keep it though. I wouldn't want to be overweight in US stock right now though, feels like it's just the start of some interesting times on the market. I know it's rallied in recent days (no idea where this confidence has come from) but any gains can pull back instantly with just a few words from Trump.

Who in their right mind is buying US tech stock?!? I disinvested most of mine, I'm sure it'll go up over time, and probably back down again once the orange clown has another bright idea. I feel more comfortable in this company than I do in any of the MAG7 right now.

There's every chance this is gonna move sideways or even fall a bit lower in the coming weeks as we move closer to ASX listing. As bullish as most of this board is, investors are going to be locking in profits and some retail are gonna be getting fearful and cashing out. I'll be topping up in the dips as I'm new to the stock and plan to hold for several years, I can only see this going up in the next 12 months and beyond.

I think (hope) good things are coming whichever way you cut it, but we mustn't forget that most of the GGP shareholders aren't in this board. They're not influenced by some of the nonsense on here. I think we're seeing a bit of fear at the moment, perhaps it's a lack of understanding of the consolidation or the cross listing or maybe it's something else??

Incidentally, when deciding which mining stock to go in, all the ones I disregarded have gone up, and all the ones I picked have gone down! Perhaps I should be shorting all my picks from now on!

It would be utterly bonkers for this government to not help bring this mine online. I guess time will tell, there may be talks, who knows, there's been little to no updates for a long time.

I was a teenager when chat rooms first started up (yahoo chat anyone?) and I remember those places being the wild west! I guess this place is quite tame in comparison. Nice to be here anyway and I'm looking forward to all the back patting and general positivity when this starts moving back up....he says hopefully....

I was one of those absolute mugs that went in during the course of Tuesday having spent a lot of the bank holiday weekend researching the company fully. What a wally! I've only I'd waited a day, I'd have had a few more shares for my money. Hard to time the market though, especially for noObs like me.

Anyway, bring on June and the cross listing, I hope this flys...obviously!

We have to be due some news at some point? It's all quiet on the Western (Southern) front and has been for months. I've not gained or lost any faith that this could be a great investment, especially at this price, but we're surely due some movement soon, one way or the other.

This whole shares game is an interesting one isn't it! Loads of volume, loads of buys, sp going down?!? Just been checking out Penthera, hardly any volume or trades, no real news, no production, sp on the up. Bizarre!

I think it's partly about liquidity, GGP are much more liquid than PAT, so our trades don't seem to have such a big effect on the sp. And god knows what the mms are up to, mere mortals like most of us here aren't privvy to the real knowledge. Oh well, topping up a bit and sitting tight at any rate. I only wish I had a bit more capital to put in!

I'm one of the mugs who has only just discovered GGP, so my average is just shy of the 15p mark. This is a buy and hold for huge rewards in the future if ever I saw one. Feeling hopeful.

Can it break past 16p and keep momentum for the day is the question! I'm just holding a bit of capital back to buy in if the elastic band pings back for a short while. Bought some this morning in anticipation of a bull run, but damn, I didn't expect to see it fly up to nearly 10% up!

I fear that as much as I believe this is a stock with legs, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a pull back this week, the price has rocketed up so fast. The market is a volatile place at the moment and I think a lot of institutions are looking to make some quick gains, so we might see some big sells should it reach 15p. If it does pull back I have no doubt it'll rebound and I'm definitely going to continuing to buy, I don't want to my eggs in just one golden basket however!

...that a lot of you are incredibly bullish in this room! I'm relatively new to investing in stocks like this, but can see that this one might have some real legs, wish I'd got to this point in my investing journey a bit earlier tbh.

I've been watching and reading a lot about GGP recently (some incredible insight from some of you stalwarts in here), other junior miners and the trajectory of gold prices and it does feel like as good a time as any to jump in and hold for big rewards in the future. I will however stop myself from putting my entire ISA capital in this one, however much I want to!
