RE: Getting a share certificate or transferring platform1 Mar 2022 19:20
Hi - for anyone on the Halifax share trading platform, with the forthcoming charges - although you can't move HER away from the platform, because they are not trading the Halifax gave me the following reply
"accounts containing delisted holdings with a nil balance will not be liable to pay the upcoming fee of £36 per year. As discussed whilst the stock remains delisted you will not be charged. However, if it does recommence trading you will become liable for the account administration fee. If the stock never re-lists you may share gift the stock to charity in order to close the account."
Also, you have to have a nil cash balance in the account in order to avoid the fee.
I have been able to move all my other shares either to another platform or to share certificate (Tristar TSTR), so was just left with HER in the account
hope this helps someone!
