I have a pal who was a Solicitor and used to work across the road from The Goring Hotel. I was lucky enough to pop in there a couple of times and used the bar for a gin and tonic or two. I perhaps might have seen your Father. I certainly remember the staff being exceptionally friendly. Perhaps when the SP hits £10 plus I will take the Mrs up there for a night or two. Super place.
