Time for strong leadership to step up with the new CEO. Have a plan focus on what he thinks can deliver growth at Saga and cull the other parts of Saga that aren't part of the story. Saga has way to many moving parts currently, so I'm in favour of narrowing down the focus. Hopefully this unit sell off is part of the new CEO's vision - we certainly need it as we've appeared to be quite rudderless this last while.

From a share holders perspective this is good if they can make the numbers touted in the potential sale. Pay down some debt with it should lift the SP. Something needs to be done we seem to be in a downward spiral on the SP.

Yes to some extent Mike, it creates additional tension in the workplace. It places the balance of power into the hands of the employer. The only silver lining from the employees perspective with 'at will employment' it means you can quit and leave the job without the typical notice period you might be obliged to provide in a similar role in the UK (normally a month in most salaried jobs). Its capitalist ultra based use of human resources, thankfully I now work in a UK based company

Mike cost of redundancies will be zero here I expect. US employment law somewhat different than in the UK. Having worked for previously fora US biotech firm they employment terms for termination is 'at will' which means they can fire with no notice period of explained grounds. Its the corporate way US companies treat staff, it sucks but that's the way it is in the land of the free. I expect those employed by TRX in the US have similar terms on their employment contracts.

You'll see TRX financing resource is at the medium/low end of the scale against other businesses its backing. Given the projected sales growth and market demand, refinancing TRX (and thus avoiding a placing dilution) would appear to be the most likely outcome. Probably with a Midcap extension on the current financing facility.

The inevitable bounce back in SP after the herd mentality overselling we've seen earlier this week. Taken a bit longer than I thought it might but underway now.

Whats changed to warrant such a drop? Answer is easy, the Woodford train wreckage has arrived at TRX.

Depends on your circumstance and time frame Asb1. Sub 12 months SP might be volatile particularly is fund raise placing comes. Long term the fundamentals of TRX is sound: selling product, market demand, great unique offering, increased production capacity to increase sales growth, big market for TRX products etc etc. If you can sit it out and not need the £££ in your existing holding for 12-18months I see a multibag brewing here

JHolder, the classic market over reaction to sell down TRX on a RNS which pretty much tells us what we already know. Expect a bounce north later today and through tomorrow I reckon.

And it reads pretty well in my opinion. Sales are up, demand is evident and increase manufacturing capacity is being rolled out this year. Short term finance runway extended to 'at least' end of April. I can't believe Midcap or another won't provide favourable loan money as and when required by TRX.

Maybe our VFRB option for the Scottish/UK deployment could be part financed through Innovate UK funding? The industrial strategy challenge fund has money available (several £100m in the 'industrial decarbonisation' theme) to invest in this type of application. The rumours I'm hearing is the bulk of the UKRI pot is going on carbon capture storage (CCS) projects, surely a VRFB battery project makes some better sense here?

Farliefoo, this is a subjective question. Depends on whether you need £££ now or not? For me SSE is a long term holding with significant growth potential. Don't know your SSE/OVO circumstances, but for SSE focussing on generation is the right answer. The retail element is highly competitive with many enterprises struggling and failing in this market place, The ambition of SSE's to triple renewable generation capacity is very exciting in my opinion, particular as we try and decarbonise the UK's power consumption. Also power consumption demand is going to rise as we shift to electric cars, heat pumps, green hydrogen utilisation, etc, etc... Its not so easy for entrants to come in and compete in the UK renewable generation production (but is for energy retail), certainly not at the scale SSE have and will increase to. On the back of this I expect future share capital and dividend growth, so I'm holding my SSE shares for the long term. Hope this helps but best as always to do your own research.

Quite smorrisjones. It was my polite way of asking Nickel to qualify his non-troll non-deramper status he's claiming he's not. I'm doubtful he has any claim against this charge though. Anyone who can forecast a SP change in under a week's time frame is either invented a time machine or spouting absolute nonsense.

Good to see we're bashing on the £15 door, not that short term pricing particularly matters in itself. The concluded retailed sell off sets SSE onto an undistracted focus now for growth into renewable generation production. Go long and strong here is my recommendation, we're going to need a hell of a lot of grid power to drive all those e-cars we'll be needing in 2040. SSE will be pivotal for the mid 21st century goals to meet the UK's decarbonisation ambition.

Agreed with u Bunsen. The thing that might change your forecast is publication of a Wooford/Link confirmatory exit RNS. This will add more rocket fuel into the SP
