A moratorium on fracking27 Oct 2022 09:22
So for those hard of hearing at the back
‘The 2019 manifesto commitment said the ban would be in place until there was new scientific evidence about the safety of fracking. It reads: “We placed a moratorium on fracking in England with immediate effect. Having listened to local communities, we have ruled out changes to the planning system. We will not support fracking unless the science shows categorically that it can be done safely.”
Nothing has changed we or indeed any company can demonstrate it can be done safely it gets the go ahead it’s not an all out never frack in England (it only covers England) of course any project any company who looks to complete a fracking project would with or without R S personal wish would need to prove it’s safe. It is so we wouldn’t do it otherwise would we so what’s the problem. Business as usual but we do not rely on fracking do we to make money we’ve been making millions without any fracking projects. The Gov looks to us to prove the safety and if we do and community project is rewarded with cheaper energy then it gets to go ahead. At some point it will and that’ll be extra coffers in the company but we don’t NEED it do we.
So NOTHING HAS CHANGED other than some investors just gave away their shares to a charity called institutional investors led by Bank of America. Await the TR1s read and weep or buy big your choice but make a decision on facts not scaremongering cut and run decisions. This is the problem when majority of stock held in pi hands who don’t know what they are doing see a drop and it snowballs. Meanwhile savvy investors pile in….and GAS prices on global markets rise.
