People are speculating that when we are drilling/ not drilling... when the reality is, none of us truly know what is going on behind the scenes.

For all we know everything could be signed and sealed and ready to go... but on the other hand we could be miles away from the deadline!!

Imo theres no point in speculating until we get further news.
Stick to the facts we know... and that is at this current moment we will be drilling as per the road to drilling RNS.

Everyone who has invested in this should know this is a high risk- high reward investment. And people need to stop worrying about the details until we know more news.

Khonsu- i dont think this will be the case. The road map to drilling came out during the MF and rocketed the SP nearly double. BPC are happy to play the political game on this one.

Anyway by the results of the MF we cant give free money away to the locals at the moment!!

If you look at seadrills previous reports. Alot of their contracts are undisclosed within it.

So i wouldn't get ahead of yourself thinking we will find out rig info by then.
Hopefully we will. But i think it will be from an RNS and not a 3rd party

I agree bonum. The re rate will happen on the next RNS. At the moment it is sitting fairly comfortably.

The next RNS will provide an indication for the appetite for BPC and we may be able to more accurately take a guess where this SP will end up at the drill

Dont really want to speculate on what we should/ should not be hearing. But i think the next few weeks newsflow will be critical.

Time is pressing on and i think a lack of news has the potential really affect the SP.

Fingers crossed the board can not only deliver the good news but also at the right time!

Anyone that makes investment decision off one mans opinion and podcast are playing a very dangerous game!
Thats why i don't see the point in listening to what he says

When investing in shares i do think its essential you have knowledge of the sector and a good idea how the company operates including its fundamentals.

However the intricacies of the types of drills, casings ect. I am more than happy to leave to the experts within the company itself.

Not saying its a bad thing to know all of this. But for me personally i wont be making investment decisions based on this.
Although it has been an interesting read about it and would encourage more like it to take place here! Its good to pass on knowledge and also helps pass the time while we wait for the next RNS

Good post PI. You have summed it up well and i echo then comments. Had a long think of how i felt about the news.. i would say slightly more negative than positive but i agree this is just a bump along a long road which i am sure there will be more!

Like you i will not be adding (unless the SP significantly reduces) but i will definitely not be selling.

One thing for certain we do know from all this is that its another milestone to the drill and we can finally move forward with the rest!

Completely agree judgemental RE farm in situation.
I had previously likened it to a game of poker but i like the game of chicken too!

Well i was wrong about the MF. I too thought it will have been over subscribed.
However as i have mentioned before the MF is more of a formality and wont have any bearing on the drill itself and i have said before what goes on in between now and the drill means little to me.

Time to add? I am unsure
Think i will wait and see how this pans out and maybe just ride this wave for now

Armatrading is right. Oil will always be needed. Electrical vehicle technology is not quite there yet, and although oil usage may be on the decline in the west. Other countries are just discovering it!

I think alot of people are already thinking its going south given the SP change over the past couple of days.

Will take a little longer for me. But i am expecting some definitive news in rapid succession over the next few weeks. Time is running out!

Potentially things have already been agreed and they are just waiting to announce this at the right time

I for one i am not that bothered about the lack of news this morning, infact after the rumours started yesterday of “my mate says 100% extension” it was nice not to hear the extension.

But i would prefer BPC working on the fundamentals taking us closer to drilling e.g rig contracts, farm in talks.
Than updating us on a MF which in the end will have no bearing on the drill.

I am sure some people will (and have) used the uncertainty to make a little bit of money.. like the example below. But i will be staying long on this one and not risking my position to make an extra few hundred pound!

Interesting find simple... not so much about the guy as it looks like he has a vendetta against drilling in the Bahamas and life itself!

But if you look further through his profile, someone has taken a photo of a rig in a port and claims its in the bahamas, and the guy asking if he has invested at 0.02.

Wouldn't read too much into it as there seems to be an activist group against drilling for oil by us

Dont know how you can say the fund was open when the RNS clearly states admin delay?

If it is true what your saying and there is another delay it wont be due to poor subscription of the fund as its closed!

There will always be a need for oil, diesel and petrol in this world. The government may try and promote electric/ hydrogen or whatever else but oil will always be needed.

And the less of it there is, the higher the price will become!
