Just wondered why the SP had plummeted so much after seemingly fantastic news. Any ideas? RUssia?
Shares of University spin-off and public limited company Synairgen (LSE: SNG) are in the red today, closing at £197 as of 29th October (17:54 GMT+1)
Wow, if it really closed at £197, we are all billionaires! Better re- order that Porsche 911!
Interestingly, a dear friend of mine got Bell‘s Palsy several weeks after recovering from Covid-19. The doctors never said so but I think it was as a result of the virus, in other words Long Covid. Mercifully, after a month, including a ten day course of steroids, he recovered.
If Liverpool City is testing all its citizens, wouldn’t this be a perfect venue to try out our therapeutic in a real life situation, especially given the fact that the powers that be would be able to monitor the timeline of catching the virus, its progression, and the efficacy of treating it with SNG? Just my two cents worth...
As the SP temporarily nears 175, I feel there is little point in taking up the option of additional shares. However, should I want to, it seems that I am disqualified as, although I am a Brit, I am resident in one of those countries mentioned in the offering - Japan. I think it also applies to residents of NZ, Oz, and Canada... Is anybody out there in the same boat, and is there any way around the regulation. Seems rather discriminatory to me! Any thoughts would be welcome...
Let’s hope the new CBO can get things moving and the CMC sorted in super quick time ASAP. It might also be an idea for the company to put out some information about how things are moving along.

Phlexglobal, a leading innovative technology and services provider for the life sciences industry, today announces that Synairgen – a drug discovery and development company developing novel therapies for respiratory disease – took just 16 days to go live with Phlexglobal’s advanced PhlexTMF SaaS software to support a COVID-19 trial. Thanks to Phlexglobal’s innovative technology and industry-leading Trial Master File expertise, Synairgen was able to quickly ensure compliance with regulatory mandates while maintaining an accelerated pace for its novel COVID-19 therapy SNG001 (inhaled interferon-beta).
Any idea why it went up today? Any news?
Japan will buy 120 million doses of AstraZeneca Plc's experimental COVID-19 vaccine from early next year, its health minister said on Friday, adding that domestic pharmaceutical firms would help in supplying the drug.
The agreement with the British drugmaker comes after Japan announced a deal last week to buy 120 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed by Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE.
I feel governments of rich counties (US, UK, Japan) are blindly diving in head first to be first in line to procure one or the other, or both, of these vaccines in the hope that one or both of them might work. It makes good newspaper headlines and reassures a wary public that their governments are doing something for their citizens. However, as we know vaccines, even when they are approved, won't help those people who are suffering with the virus. More emphasis needs to be put on therapeutics, and of course our product SNG is a main contender...
