Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
As usual it's blah blah blah. Viktor obviously has his mandate to push SE and does so in a very... enthusiastic manner.
He seems to be just as affected by emotional winds as your average Joe posting on a forum so, I'm not sure that he has a great deal more insight than anyone else.
Just keep monitoring the fundamentals and news flow. As proven over many years here, the rumour train doesn't make a lot of difference, even wins! The fundamentals are going to be key here and for that, we have to wait!
I believe that we are exclusive with Xilinx, I'm near 100% sure of the fact. It may be that as you say, it might be a separate system that plugs into a Xilinx 'hub' and therefore Fotonation is the provider of said plugin system.
Now you mention it, I do remember that Subaru were using Fotonation up to now.
Fortunately, SEE have a lot of great patents due to all of their R&D work and have a very advanced system based upon real world experience and shed loads of data including constant feedback from a great fleet product. So I'm not too worried about a 'new guy'
Glad I'm not the only one with a 6p average here! I've been tempted to sell a few times as I feel like I've been sat in this for far too long and the horizon has not been a static one. But good to get some upward movement back into this and some good signs starting to align.
BBC has an article today around the changing face of homes and offices due to Covid. They envisage a rise of touchless technology.
Nothing in the article is specifically related to SEE but it did make me think that there are opportunities from the pandemic for SEE. Vision based control it's something we are staying to see in cars now and this could start to see more prevalence in the world. Voice activated systems are all well and good but they struggle in loud environments or multiple people at once using the system. SEE should be able to solve both issues and more. This is a tech that can just keep finding new applications. I'm astounded there aren't more companies sniffing around for a buy out

I'd agree with PM44. I'd rather they didn't issue promises they don't keep. This was a positive result and an interview that showed restrained confidence. Of course that then is killing some momentum but the next news will then come from a point of little expectation rather than expecting the news, and probably still being near the same share price!
I think that we are absolutely now waiting for the critical turning point of profit on the books and seeing that revenue number start to climb from automotive engagements. That's going to be the wake up call for everyone. I expect the first seeds at the next results at the beginning of next year and then momentum from there as more models come on line and this gets into more standard kit rather than optional. The ride is a lot more comfortable with a lot of cash on hand!
Well this is a rare sight from SEE! Looks like that runway to profitability is now very solid. This will take a while to feed through to the price as usual, but perhaps PM trading may help when the US wakes up and the next 6 months may actually start to see some traction.
Exactly what I'm trying to say, it's a bit odd to have it live on a website but it's unlikely to be any more exciting than their standard terms. I wouldn't get too excited by this page just yet, they might just be trying to simplify the process of getting hold of this for their sales reps/trial managers.
