Just having a quick look showing 1.66 - 1.67 just this moment ! Looking better than earlier !

I have more ALBK than BKIR so hopefully they'll catch up with BKIR and pass them out ! It would be nice to see them neck in neck around 2.20 !

The boss of IPM was on RTE Radio 1 yesterday . He say's that there will be no reversal of interest rate decision ! Don't panic here . Probably necessary decision ! Re: the other 2 banks lardjem makes a good point on the ALBK board !

I was at the point of selling them myself at 3.10 when I changed my mind ! So I held , for better or worse ! There was a big furore about the 0.5% interest rate rise yesterday ! Speaking like a banker and shareholder IPM passed on all the ECB rate cuts so far to the variable rate customers so they are getting a fabulous interest rate as it is ! Even with the 0.5% rate increase it is still a fabulous interest rate ! The rates in the UK are miles higher ! It is hard to swallow for customers who are being asked to take pay cuts and tax hikes and social welfare cuts though .

IPM have anounced a 0.5% increase in their variable rate mortgages today ! Nearly everyone in Ireland is complaining about the move today , even some of the Government ! I'd be a little bit worried that they might have to reverse the decision . I don't think that would be good for shareprice . I'm talking like a banker now not a mortgage holder !

He's head of NTMA . He was very Bullish in his outlook for Irelands future ! There could be a massive rise tomorrow ! Sorry to have sold my 2/3's now . Might buy them back if I can get them right tomorrow ! ! His interview is probably recorded somewhere in Cyber space !

I think those investment managers must be taking their profits here and moving them back to Lloyds !!
