For those newbies you might lie to have a read of this; http://www.moneyam.com/InvestorsRoom/posts.php?tid=6128 21 years and I am still waiting!
Been here as lonnnnnng term holder. Latest news, "rabbit population in border Ireland up in arms at massive invasion of territory. Continuous upheaval of earth and granite formations. Head Rabbit comment - could expect to go on for many years"
After the huge consolidation I as well as many very long term investors are disenchanted with this share. Fully aware that mines can take as long as 20 years and then NOT go into production. IMHO this will really go nowhere of any value until they say they have a partner on board and the plant is being built. My thousands of shares are down to hundreds and I do not intend to invest any more in this one.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-25575879 For you newbies this was a report from the prof over 2 years ago, we are still drilling holes !
probably MM's been waiting till someone comes along with more cash to kickstand this one again. Also MTR have been pro active with their investment strategies.Until more cash came along guess this would have still been in the doldrums a lot of newbies jumping in to help MM's hike the buy.
I logged into MTR this morning to check on Botswana and nearly fell off my chair. I am in MTR.... I see they have bought into this snail race for gold. I am now wondering now what they know and none of us know???? MTR has been in the market for what they see as viable assets for some time. Well, only time will tell now!!!
every AIM company I have invested in that has a consolidation failed. Even those that were producing stayed low on Sp for very long periods. I now think that to go back in again in the hope of recovering losses is something like increasing your bets on a roulette wheel when you have about gone past the point of almost no return This saga has gone on too long. Mining in general are scraping along the bottom and is likely to stay that way for some time. Many big miners are cutting back. Question? how many holes over so many years does one have to dig before you join them all up and get the stuff out of the ground????
Historically I have found that unless a company is is a strong position, ( this one is not producing) within 4/8 weeks after a consolidation a companies SP starts to slide down the tubes( personal experience on AIM) be interesting to see what happens here!!
With gold at current price this one is dead in the water at least until the price nearly doubles ( which is unlikely anytime soon! IMHO). I would think costs likely to out way any likely profit, if any profit at all!! I doubt anyone in their right mind would like to shove in a deal of money on this one!. This is one for the deep, deep bottom drawer, as a "maybe" in the long distant future. in any case GLA you long time holders.
With the new blast techniques such as HxM Blast showed at the MineSite Seminar in Canada Apl 2015 plus thermal fragmentation equipment that several firms have patented that and are using it will no doubt give the Prof some thought on savings where high grade ore is concerned . But this appears be be aimed at heavy concentrated area of ore bearing ground. Low concentration could be a whole new ball game. I am no expert in this area however. With the financial mess up world wide with fiat money etc .there is no telling how long...... if ever, in my life time however, there will be any Production
1.05 we are now 50% down . I wonder what the prof thinks now Gold prices down and non precious meals down down down. Closing or reduced production so doubt any real move to gold production with such low low prices across the board.what therefore is the need for a production manager???
