Haqve been in here since MAy '06 when it was 89p and no dirt on the spade. I have averaged down over time to 4p. I intend to sit this out. Didnt have as much money to buy big when it was sub 2 lol. Will hold !!
financial times say shortage of copper for market, where are ACU in the scheme of things? seems this is not much more than a cash cow ? If SP cant rise on a product shortage wha chance of any sort of rise.
I see on KDR they are getting a bit excited about the Prof's diamond mining inFinland. Am thinking about having a small punt in that. Anyone here have any shares in it?
Interesting, I was with Seltrade ( previously Squaregain) since 2006 but changed to Jarvis this year as better trading deal prices since I not trading as heavy as I used to ( heavy maintainance on 4 kids takes trading money (college fees need lots of gold!!!). Might be worth you take a look though.. Price will be better when feasability study brings in some possitive information
I cant see the SP moving North any time soon, worth while until the conpamy gete its act together on its production side. Once they get their problems sorted and the copper, market ready, then I think you will see a steady rise in the SP.Market price and demand is all very well but if a company is not shovelling it out in any worth while volume then costs will nor decreaseper tonne etc. common sales sense IMHO
sorry to go off topic but I thought this site made an interesting read especially where long time holdings are concerned. I thought, quite revealing in some ways, to me. However have a look . I was taken by the point that some firms are run more for the interest of the managers rather than the share holders, also a point beingmaked where gold mining was concerned. www.BullionVault.com/How/Goldmining
I think some one poste no on isa but not sure, worth exploring though just in case
OOps MSKA missed your post re info, must have been too excite to see a price move LOL
Does anyone have any info on current exploration results to date since last notification of highre grade ore at the newset site? With estimated million ozt gold, and gold still going North at a rapid rate I would have thought there would need to be some urgency in getting to feasab ilty of production. I am aware that environmental safeguard proofs have to be shown and recorded, but more surrent news would be helpful.Note current Bid/offer is 7.25/8.0 I am in on this mid to long term. Pity I did not have more cash available to invest when I enteresd at 7.2, but have since averaged down to an acceptable level.
Nice one. Get to be a 4 bagger and you can buy yourself a new set of types for your car LOL
All well and good butACU has had considreable production problems since incept appart from cash flow andlack of cash reserves. Study the 3/12/10 report.. I am no mining expert but surely they should have enough know how to realise water runs down hill not uphill, and ore and water make a grand slurry to foul up crusher plants. I have my doubts about the expertese of the those that designed the plant, bearing in mind they must have realised a rainy season in Africa means a lot of rain. I still think there may well be some way to go before the plant is producing at the levels first envisaged. Strudy the report well.
Was looking the other day article on Gols prices and variouscomments on go into metals. House prices due for fall mid2011,no money being lent out for house buying etc. Gols is omly sensible thing if you think about it, all other currency is mostly paper promises. There are more tons of paper money than gold. Could be CDG will take time to get under way as forecast for gold prices will still go further through the roof. Will top up here again when get some more readies to splash out.( had to bail out son No. 3 for bike parts( cost more than my car)lol Keep the faith all GL for 2011
Have now averaged down to 6.57. Thinking of going to do a bit of shovelling some low grade gold in Ireland over the festivitise tohelp out with the big hole" her in doors" will leave in my banK balance doing some of her saving me money since..**********was on sale cheap!!! good luck in 2011 to all holders of CDG
Shown on the left
have re invented the calculator with new batteries average is 4.16p now ,sorry, near frightened myself to death LOL
Ive been in since it wa near 100 and over time have averaged down to10. if this ever gets back to what I paid for my first buy then I will be very very happy
If you got a pile of money in this one, then fine for a long term hold. grab the didies and leave it alone to rise...... in time. I however am too old to hold long term so sold out ealier and put my readies in a future prospect for a short/ med term gain. ie PCI. mid 2011 expect to regain all losses and in with a reasonable profit. hav added to holding I already have in this one and am presentlyjust over 60% up
Like I posted some time ago I have been in this since 07 and it flew to 100. after only a few shovels had been put in similar to yourWTI but what with the down turn low copper prices and rubbish work on the ground with maintrenance( no money to do a proper job the pack of cards came tumling down, The folloe on is history
Sound like ACU many years ago , share wa hitting near the £1 mark and they hadn't even dug a spade of dirt
I have skim read some of the AGM report on production and as you say it isplain they need more more cash. They have mentioned several times they are putting on hold for a year the need for screen washing plant prior to the SnT. This material apparently causes sludge during the rainy season being cause of the clogging up of the crusher units hence they brought in mobile units to help keep the production running. Other needed items are also being put on hold, as it says "to preserve capital". I have a thought ( however I am no expert in this field) that such a move could create hold ups during next rainy season as it seems the increased and heavier and longer rain falls are increasing world wide and Africa and Asia seem to be the ones affected most. This is just a thought on my part. If should a thing happen then capital may have to be used to pay for the extra maintenance of any halted plant. I can also see further dilution ( I also hold AFE) Hold on tight all for the long ride
