It looks like the drop isn't as steep as we were expected . Although more than the dividend, only by about 8p. Now, we got to wait patiently and how it will go then.

Of course for those of you who have sold @1639, can buy back @1560, which will still 20p better off. If you have sold yours @1620, buying back @1560 will only break even......hahahahaha

Yes Jing, 1520 will be good for me to buy back mine too. Maybe this will drop to even lower if it follows the previous ex-divi performance, perhaps it will be close to 1500.
Yes, IMB is capable of doing that if you look back to its past ex-divi records......lol

It has fallen to my buy back range but will wait for it to drop even lower. Perhaps until it's under £13 or even sub £12. All depends.

P.S. the stamp duty will be more if you back buy at higher prices...
e.g. 0.5% of 1500p= 7.5p; 1550=7.75p; 1575=7.875p....and so on...

Anyway, if you have sold today @1635p then the break even point for buying back will be roughly @1575p. Therefore buying back at anything less than that will make you profit.....

Well, even 9.25p isn't a lot of difference then hey?

Well, if you have sold your holding today say @1635p and buy them back sometime later @1500p. It will cost you: 0.5% stamp duty=7.5p; commission and spread= about 1.5p; losses of dividend=48.48p.
Total: 7.5+1.5+48.48=57.48p
Gain from selling @1635=135p
So, you will be 135-57.48=77.52p better off, which is more than double your dividend. What do you think, is it doable?

I eventually got out @1407.50p. Only made a very small profit but better than falling back into losses again anyway. If it falls by the similar amount tomorrow then I'll buy them back........ hahahaha
