Deafening sound of triumphalism & people counting their money around here. Understandable given the gain over the last 2 months but the gain so far is small fry. The Fleet business alone is worth at least as much as current market cap but we also have Auto ($50m+ Ford deal this week adds to other deals to make a not-too-shabby start in that segment), rail, mining and aviation. Bring back the grumpiness :-) This share is still well undervalued and 11p is not a victory. PLEASE SIR, I WANT SOME MORE.
Ha ha ha. So you do think what is posted on here can materially influence the share price, Alex. Come on then, lets all have an experiment to find out whether this is true or not. I'm happy to deramp for the rest of this week then ramp on Monday & Tuesday next week, if everyone else will join in. I'm in if we can get Alex8, Seeing2020 and one other to commit to it. But if you commit, that is to see it through to the end of Tuesday regardless of share price movement or news. Up for it? MrBB? goldenboy2? If we all pull in the same direction, and the share price ignores us, then we can all stop ramping and deramping and get on with the valuable stuff of decent research and thoughtful debate.
The reason for SEE & CEO parting was given, not just by way of RNS, and it is widely known. Surely you know that, if not then you must be almost the only person with a long term SEE investment history who doesn't know. - If you don't know, then that makes you terribly ill informed and not worth listening to at all. Maybe that is the case, but I would be surprised based on your previous posts. - Unless you do know, which exposes you as trying to put the worst possible slant on things, ignoring facts where they don't suit your negative story. I believe that is known as blatant deramping. Granted there are those doing the opposite, ignoring anything that doesn't suit their best case view of the future. Both types of slanted posts need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Welcome back to the bulletin board by the way. You have often made valuable (or just down right funny, intentionally & unintentionally) posts in the past so glad to see you here. If you (along with the rest of us) could stop thinking that any of our posts can materially influence the share price, especially with the very high volumes we see these days, and concentrate on straight debate, then the quality and value of the debate and information on this board could be even better. Good luck with getting in at a good price.
Hey A8 Before you leave this planet to the inter-galactic bulldozers.... Would be interested to hear the story of why you are toddling off. If you can spare the effort to share, that would be good. I suspect that you will not be keen to share given that you are not usually reacted to in the most generous manner but you do seem to have a pretty thick skin. I would like to hear the honest truth, even if what you have to say is not particularly flattering to our darling SEE. Personally, Seeing Machines has treated me very well. Like you, I do trade the share, which I don't talk about on here much as there are those that seem to get oddly wound up by people buying in the troughs and selling on the peaks. I do also maintain a large core holding which I don't trade. Anyway, I'm rambling. Do share your story/thoughts please. There are many of us who have always appreciated your contributions. We are all grown-ups here and we should be able stay calm and smile through criticism, opposite views, mischievous posts etc. Thanks!
I'll never understand why people put so much store by charts. The RNS hasn't figured in the press yet. The chart doesn't know whether it has figured in the press yet... Surely the share price movement from here will be influenced by the quantity/quality of press exposure over the weekend, so how can we possibly predict the share price based on historic movement (charts).
Please can we have an RNS? This news is mega and the public have a right to know :-) I know you are a bit reticent when it comes to issuing RNSs but you really should be doing so here. The info is in the public domain but how many people read the detail of EU announcements? You should be helping make sure this is known by a wider audience so trading in the shares is fair. Pretty please?
I sold a chunk for 9.11p on 16 Dec 2013. Probably not the high but the highest I've ever made a trade at. All money went back in along with a lot more :-) I've been looking for us to smash that price for a long time.
No it isn't but.... historic prices should be a thing of the past now (forgive the tautology, you know what I mean). EU legislative announcements have just moved this into a whole new realm. This must be ready for launch and I haven't got my helmet on.
They make it difficult to get to the facts. This Q&A is the best I've found so far. This clearly states "within 3 years all new models introduced on the market must have 11 advanced safety features, such as....driver's distraction recognition" http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_MEMO-18-3681_en.htm What I want to know is how they define "driver's distraction recognition". I'm hopeful because, to me, distraction is a higher bar than drowsiness. A steering wheel torque sensor can't tell if you are gazing out of the side window but it can have a go (sort of, but not great) at detecting you falling asleep. Whatever the detail, this is fantastic for SEE. I just want to know HOW fantastic it is for SEE. As an aside - I should also note that this is fantastic news for the chances of my daughter living to a ripe old age without ever being in a serious accident or suffering the loss of a loved one in a serious road accident. That is worth a glass of anyone's champagne.
https://ec.europa.eu/avservices/ebs/live.cfm?page=1 Rewind to the start. Lots of stuff not relevant to us but some nuggets. eg commenting that driver distraction and drowsiness detection is intended (amongst other things) to protect cyclists and pedestrians.

Press release http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-18-3708_en.htm
No. Euro NCAP is NOT today. There is something else happening today, something with the EU commission. Euro NCAP will follow at a later date. For all long term holders - I know you know the difference and tend to use Euro NCAP as a shorthand to cover both but there seems to be a few newbies looking at the board and I think we need to be careful not to confuse them on this point. Please can you make an effort to say EU commission when you mean EU commission and Euro NCAP when you mean Euro NCAP? For anyone new, this is the important difference: Reporting today: EU commission - They set the rules on what is legally required in a new car sold in the EU. The classic example is that all new cars sold must be equipped with seat belts. Anything they require will have to go into ALL new cars sold. They are also likely to talk about other classes of road vehicle at the same time. Reporting at a later date: Euro NCAP - They govern the safety star ratings that are given to new vehicles. Wjhen you see a car advertised as having a 5 star safety rating it is Euro NCAP who have set the requirements for being classed as 5 star and tested the vehicle to confirm it meets that standard. Euro NCAP's star rating is not a legal requirement but it is very powerful in influencing consumer choice so manufacturers take it very seriously. Of course, Euro NCAP have a higher requirement standard for 5 star than the EU law (EU Commission) requires for all cars, otherwise all cars would get 5 stars, which they don't. It is therefor likely, but not certain, that advanced driver monitoring (eg Seeing Machines) will be a requirement of Euro Ncap for 5 star vehicles before it is an EU law requirement for all vehicles. However, EU commission may go early on all vehicles, or set out a road map towards advanced DMS for all vehicles. I think this is unlikely. I think, for now, the EU commission will only go for basic DMS, the sort which is less reliable than seeing machines and more easily cheated (Smart Eye, steering wheel touch sensors etc). I personally would like the EU commision to distinguish between "normal" vehicles and semi-autonomous vehicles and require advanced DMS on semi-autonomous vehicles but I'm not holding my breath. My guess is that their announcement will be a little outdated with respect to the technical landscape as this is the EU and it takes them a long time to formulate anything. However - even a requirement for basic DMS would be very good for SEE as all car manufacturers would then need to consider how they are going to meet the basic requirement. They could do it more cheaply with the more basic solutions but they may choose to go more advanced so they have a better product, so it enables more comfort features and so they are ready for Euro NCAP. Euro NCAP 5 stars is where we are first more likely to see a requirement for advanced DMS, and that is not today but soon. That will have a very powerful effect on the car manufacturers
Oh my. Between the usual quality (thanks all), there is some real rubbish being posted to this board at the moment. But you know what, I like it. 110 recent posts on the board = company must have gained a bigger profile. Lots of posters with names we haven't seen before = new people getting involved = company must have gained a bigger profile. People making badly informed comments = People who must be new to the share (or they'd know better) and people who don't research well (or they'd know better) . If the name Seeing Machines is coming up on the badly-tuned radars of the lazy badly researched investor, then Seeing Machines must now have a bigger profile. Seeing Machines has been undervalued for a long time (in my humble opinion) and one factor in that (just one factor) has been a lack of awareness of the company, of the progress it is making, of the size of the prize. Enjoy the crud appearing on the board fellow old timers, it is a good thing, another vital part of this share price getting ready for launch. All of this is my ill-informed opinion of course. You make your own bets.
