Latest results from FindOutNow UK predicted that, if there were a general election tomorrow, Reform UK would achieve 34 per cent of the vote, more than the combined 33 per cent for Labour and the Conservatives.

The poll has Labour on 18 per cent, with the Tories on 15 per cent.

Sir Ed Davey's Liberal Democrats are just behind on 13 per cent with the Green Party in last on 10 per cent.

The Electoral Calculus website predicts this would give Reform 407 seats and a majority of 164.

Well someone has to try something as we cannot go on like we are at present .Drastic and tough measures are needed as the situation is so out of control its a national embaressement,and we currently have no political will or coherent plan to deal with the issue .Under this present govt it will only get worse and the Tories failed miserably as well .The liberals and the left will obviously be outraged and come out with all sorts of human rights nonsense and faux outrage as to why we cant do this and that because of this law and that law etc.If they get into govt then legislation will have to be passed to allow the enactment of said policies.What is the alternative ? Mass civil unrest as the invasion continues ? Someone posted elsewhere that the EU,s Rwanda policy is the UK ,sad but probably true .We cannot be the easy dumping ground for all the worlds problems and expect to solve them .A million more people are now claiming benefits under Labour ,financially we cannot afford this any longer not even mentioning all the strains on local services etc .It makes me mad how weak and pathethic we have become as a nation ,40 % of all mobile phone thefts in Europe occur in London ,just think about that !And as for other crimes like shoplifting ,the police just turn a blind eye ,the list goes on and on ,where does it all end ,time to step and make some hard tough decisions or shall we all just give up ?Plenty of other issues i could highlight but i would be here all night !!

So far in 2025, Britain has already spent an estimated £815m on switching off wind farms and firing up alternative sources of power elsewhere – usually gas plants – according to the Wasted Wind tracker website.

That is up by more than a quarter compared to the same period just a year earlier.

According to the National Energy System Operator, the bill is expected to rise to almost £4bn by 2030 – but could rise to as much as £8bn if grid upgrades are not delivered on time.

Octopus Energy, the country’s biggest energy supplier, warned that higher bills were “sadly inevitable” because of this.
