Sharecast News) - Angus Energy updated the market on progress at its wholly-owned Saltfleetby project on Friday, reporting that wellhead gas has been introduced into the system, with wellhead pressure remaining high at 80+ bar.
The AIM-traded firm said final commissioning of the compressor, electrical and instrument testing was due over the weekend, and early next week.
First nominations, or sales, were planned for next week.
"The commissioning sequence involves completion of cause and effect testing over areas of the plant whilst steadily introducing gas into those areas," the board said in its statement.
"Minor electrical and instrumentation work on the storage tanks is scheduled to be completed by Monday."
The board said the final step was commissioning the compressor over the weekend, to be completed early next week.
"Nominations will follow shortly thereafter, once the process has been stabilised to yield a reliable gas quality for export."
At 1329 BST, shares in Angus Energy were up 4.2% at 1.3p.
