The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
O&W - My comments are based on the following from the latest RNS;
"Anglo American has the right to either extend the agreement and/or enter into a commercial transaction for the development of certain or all of the targets on our licenses."
AA are sniffing around Zaco & Zamsort, but Kalaba is probably too small for them. Why throw this in for free as part of a bundle for AA when a smaller player might pay for it?
"The strategic vision of Arc Minerals is to build a leading African focused copper exploration company leveraging off the three core fundamentals it has put in place for delivering on this vision:
· High quality project pipeline"
It all suggests to me that this story is ongoing, but I guess visions can change for the right price..

I'm very happy with the idea that there could now be multiple buyers involved. I think it would be a way of realising fair value for the whole area and thus making more money for us.
If AA buys the choice cuts and then smaller players are offered what's left, a higher overall amount will surely be made. Everyone a winner!
The update, good as it is, doesn't advise when the ESIA was actually submitted. If it has recently been submitted, then I find it hard to believe that the licence will be awarded before the election - in about 2 weeks. I may be wrong, but I see some potential delay there even though I remain generally positive.

Target currently set at Q1 2021.
Thanks, Antpark
Small_Holding - You might not be far off.
Being even more pessimistic, if the delays in results are then delaying the decisions on the next drill sites, then this could roll over to another season entirely, i.e. a 12-month delay.
Hope I'm wrong.
We'll be mineral du jour soon enough...

@MrB
Your list reminded me of Ronnie Barker rattling off the ice cream flavours in that famous sketch! :)
All power to you, sir.
