Valterra Platinum (VALT) was spun off from Anglo American Platinum in June/July this year - very interesting timimg. I believe EUA received their original Kola licences from Anglo American so wouldn’t be surprised if VALT make a bid for EUA. I see VALT own the Mogalakwena open-pit platinum mine in South Africa (world’s largest) which will have to go underground in a few years time which would be problematic and costly especially in South Africa. EUA’s low cost open-pit operations must surely look attractive to VALT at this stage.
