Just in case anybody is interested in another Canadian Company that is of similar size to COPL in that it is producing 2000BOPD but has excellent leadership. They are also fully funded and drilling 5 wells before year end and then 3 horizontals in the new year. Just about every well has been turned to production straight away. Risky point is its working out of Columbia. However, its under the radar and like COPL has good potential. It shows how with the right finance and CEO how quickly things can move.
You are right Dickbat I am fully expecting a fund raise before the results of the next fracking effort in a months time, unless somebody comes along wanting to share the spoils but even then I expect a fund raise of some sort. They are looking to sell this field off for $5 to $10 a barrel in the ground in the next couple of years. It's never easy investing in these small companies as they always need money and you are right they often spend it like water and waste huge amounts of the PI hard earned money. You can only hope that once in a while you find a company with considerable potential that can take off. COPL is one of those companies but it has lacked leadership for a year of so now. Maybe/hopefully the new CEO will provide that leadership but he is not showing it at the moment which is intensely annoying as we were all delighted to see AM moved to the side.
Nope Bladderman I have plenty in PANR and I have plenty left here and hopefully both will do well. I have just been pointing out that a new CEO can make a huge difference and quite quickly. I had hopes our new CEO would start to make a difference but he is showing zero inclination in communicating with his shareholders.
Stas it was only a year ago and PANR where at £1.50 so there could still be a way to go yet. But yes greater potential here but it needs some serious griping and some very good news soon. Winter will soon be with us allowing another raft of excuses that they can roll out.
Not arguing with you Dick just showing what a decent CEO can achieve in a very short time frame. If only! Massive potential here but it needs somebody to grip what is a really poor situation.
PANR have over 12.5Bn oil in place the question has always been how much of it can they get out as it is a tight play. Independent report says just short of 1bn barrels. Other field is 500 million barrels.. But unlike COPL they are yet to produce anything, Both boards have not been good in the past although the new CEO for PANR who is better known on these and many other boards as Telemachus is proving to be brilliant.
Well I have finally had enough and have sold 1/3 of my holding at a loss and shoved it into PANR first thing this morning currently up 22%. I was desperately hoping the new CEO would improve communication with his hard pressed PI, but no absolutely nothing. The board have sat on their hands and watched this drop 90% and have made zero effort to try and look after their investors. Disgraceful, the question is now how long do I keep what is still a large investment.
Some mighty big trades reported as normal after hours. Judging by the size of them, total 1.5M they must be buys otherwise it is highly unlikely we would end up 10%. A certain Mangrove buying up the shares they owe, maybe. Hope it's hurting like hell.
Anybody else get the feeling with the complete absence of the new CEO and the absolute determination of the MM and BH to keep the SP as low as possible, that a complete takeover may be in the works. Lets face it with the SP as low as it is a 12p offer would seem to be very generous on the face of it (It would be a huge heist and quite frankly theft and I would in no way vote for it) and I wonder how many shareholders would jump to say yes just to get out of this complete mare of a company. Where as if we were at 16p most would expect the offer to be 40p ish. Big difference to the company buying us up in money terms although 40p would still be a complete steal.
Just my thoughts and I have no facts, inside knowledge etc it just seems that something large is going on as the complete silence, lack of normal professional company standards eg Website and a new CEO failing to even say hello to his shareholders almost as if he does not care. It's beginning to look like we have another complete duffer in charge. What a mess and yet the potential if somebody half decent was in charge is absolutely huge.
Musk we may have potential here, but lets not forget the small fact that there are now over 22Bn shares in issue, that's nearly 3 shares per person in the whole world that's an awful lot of shares. When I first bought in here many years ago we were at 3Bn shares and thought we would all be millionaires but that it would need 6Bn shares to get us there. Well I am still waiting and we are at 22Bn shares, lets be realistic here until we start pumping oil.
This company is certainly not hanging around, I love the speed that they are drilling these wells and each one being put straight to production. Need these warrants to disappear and then we will be off flying. 3 horizontal wells to be drilled before the end of the year which will significantly add to the numbers being produced on a daily basis. With oil heading above $100 a barrel this share is going to fly.
