RE: AGM5 Sep 2018 01:04
It really does make sense to me that there would be no news because the original major, or a new super major, wouldn't want to break cover to jeopardise current negotiations with other parties as part of consortium based discussons.
This is obviously a very senitive situation with some high profile parties involved. At least that's the theory. It could be that the major walked away because it saw the data and didn't like what it saw...but cmon the technicals have been independently audited right and are well within the parameters of what amy major would look for. They won't know anything else until it's drilled. So we know the major didn't walk away because of the technicals. It was the terms of deal couldn't be agreed (yet?), the table had to be opened up to others in a consortium arrangement to spread costs and mitigate risks, the major made a low ball offer and Macquarie Bank advised their client to reject, etc.
The prize is potentially massive if this comes together and I think it will in the coming weeks. IMHO DYOR GLA
