Hi Jabberba. This perhaps does not go as far as wish, but we do have a text highlighting tool. Please click on the Members tab (top right), then on Member Tools, and finally on Text Highlighting to start using the tool. Best wishes.
Dear LSE'ers, The exclamation mark is warranted! Why? Well, you now have Live RNS for free as part of your LSE membership, and also access to our new Alerts function if you subscribe to any of our Premium Services packages. Alerts can be set up to notify you on-screen and/or via e-mail. To get started, simply click on the 'Members' tab and then the red light icon. This feature was built as a direct result of Member feedback. Enjoy! Scott
Hi Vonny. Lots! Please watch this (short) space. Best, Scott
I'm afraid that we have nothing new to report or add to the message displayed in the Cosalt chat area.
Hi MrMagic. Thanks for the suggestion. I am pleased to say that it is something we would *like* to do, but financial constraints prevent us for now. Best, Scott.
Hi frus. It is simply based on Member Portfolio data. For example, a number of Members, whether their 'real' Portfolio holdings or not, carry (say) both SLE and XEL. Best, Scott.
Hi deividas10. Our Portfolio is purely a 'dummy' system for you keep track of practice trading or perhaps Shares you buy elsewhere through an official trading platform. Best, Scott.
The new Share Chat 'Thread View' is a feature we've been working on for a little while now, and hope that it's a great new addition to LSE. If you're not quite sure about it, let me explain and highlight some of the advantages/features below; Firstly, all posts written in 'Thread View' are also shown in 'Message View', and vice versa. If you reply to a post, you will be taken to that post's thread to write your reply. Once you have posted in, or are the creator of a thread, any new posts in that thread are highlighted to you in 'Thread View' via a red counter icon. This way it's easy to see if someone has replied to a thread that you're part of. Threads allow you to chat about a specific subject within a share, without having to filter through all the messages to work out if someone is replying to you or not. It also allows you to reply to another member without having to use their username as the subject to grab their attention. Just reply directly to their message/thread and...Hey Presto!...they know you're chatting regarding their subject. We'll still be developing 'Thread View' to make it better, so if you have any feedback please leave it in the Help and Feedback section: www.lse.co.uk/general-chat-topics.asp?CatCode=rc3brs (My thanks go to Richard for putting this introduction together)
I'm having a wry smile as you know exactly why you are unable to post! Your abuse of the system via your 'experiment' did not help. I am sure that all LSE visitors would rather our staff were able to work on improving the site, rather than dealing with such actions. This thread is now locked. All the best.
Hi CMIC. Within the Portfolio, click on the 'Transactions' tab, and then on 'Order ref.' of the particular share you want to see the notes for.
That is precisely why we are re-vamping the system. We don't support or discriminate against any Member, but the Recommend Post function - if it is to remain - needs to highlight and give credit to the sharing of quality opinions/info, rather than a playground mentality whereby a group of friends recommend (propel) themselves to the top few positions permanently. I'll have to ask for your trust on this.
