Hate to say this but Quady has his head screwed on right with his solar panels. If he does what he says he can pay £0.08 from octopus energy charge his battery up to max and even sell that energy back to octopus at £0.15 nearly double. As to battery running low. He has 9.8kwh stash so with good management he can run it for free and in summer with his ;.8kwh panels he can create that every hour the sun is up bank the cash and pay other bills with the cheques he gets. Again sorry to say he does know what he is talking about when it comes to solar.

I hope in 6 months I’m as efficient as you are. You have a very good system. Octopus let you buy cheap charge up ya battery and see it back for nearly 3 times the amount you paid. Its costs them loads to store lecky so happy to run their business this way.

That’s a very good system you have. But wouldn’t call it small lol. I’m a very low user and my panels cover my lecky bill. Hoping to get heat pump (£7,500 gov fund) so be gas free as well.

You say small solar system. What kWh is your max and so you have a battery as well. And what’s the unit of cash you get paid for kWh and which company pays you for that energy you generate. I have 5 panels max creating power is 2.2 kWh at 100% ans a 5.3 kWh battery. Most expensive part is the battery.

You’re correct about filtering him. But I’ve not seen him be malicious towards anyone and sometimes he can shed some light. Be 1 watt bulb light. He’s just the old person at work called “pothole” we all avoid him. Until he turns nasty I won’t filter him.
