Your thoughts about your dad telling you to go on holiday when he was ill reminds me of my mother - she did the same thing. She was dying of cancer, told me to go on holiday - arrives on holiday, next morning a tele call, had to fly back to UK. She died a week later but left me 10k in her safe with a note to treat myself on a good holiday !!!! - he had been fighting cancer for 10 years on the Bobby Robson Cancer trials - what a fighter !!!!
