Reduction in shale isn't voluntary, it's never really made money. Once a well is closed down, it will not open again.
It's almost like pyramid selling that has kept it going. or running lots of credit cards to pay off the earlier ones.

Before USA shale we had over $100 a barrel.

UKOG can exist on $20 a barrel and in the long run UKOG will probably benefit from all this downside.

On an unhappy note. Ever thought that Covid-19 will eliminate the pension fund deficit.
In the 90's BT were paying off the workforce with enhanced pensions, with an over 50's rule. These people now in their 80's ( with their enhanced pensions they never earned )
and the biggest burden on BT,. may not be around with this illness this time next year.
