Don't understand the logic of selling out today of all days. Surely what discoveries have been made to date represent material value well in excess of current share price for those willing to hold? The performance of these clowns over the past 3 years has been pathetic but trying to look at the positives.
Don't worry - results are not going to be leaked - the whole idea is a complete fallacy. Being that it's a criminal offence to leak inside information, properly run LSE companies are extremely diligent when it comes to this. Drill results will appear out of the blue as an RNS - any share price move before this time is based on pure speculation.
That statement alone from HH might be the reason for the dip today! So frustrating to hear! Was bloody obvious to everyone but those guys that the oil price dip was temporary. As much as they spun their usual schtick about looking for the "right opportunity" I think it's safe to say there will be no production deals (except maybe swaps) anywhere in the near future. It's finding hydrocarbons or bust for Longboat. Saying that, though, the potential rewards for a decent discovery or two are large so I'm staying positive.
There was a dip before Egyptian Vulture too. I think it's just shareholders who are frustrated at the glacial pace of company progress and making use of the recent share price "surge". I'd be very surprised is there wasn't positive news from Kveikje.
