We all know opening the gates and dusting off the machines means nothing. We need to start producing and that won't happen until September at the earliest, I'm afraid if we fell in a barrel of b00bs, we'd come up sucking our thumbs. We just don't have the luck right now. We need an RNS confirming we are coal producers and how much we are producing. Simple.

I don't expect a RNS regarding the commencement of production next week but I do expect a RNS to say that coal has started to ship

The mine is open, but I don't believe they are producing, I believe they are getting the site ready, clearing up after the floods and getting ready to hand over. The coal that ships next week will come from stock piles. I don't expect any massive output figures for August.

We've had year if jam tomorrow RNSs, where the jam failed to materialize. Now we've been off a jam and for the first time in a long time the jam has actually materialized. So when they say the coal will start to shift next week, they need to confirm that this has actually happened in order to keep the momentum going.

Interesting how they addressed my concern that the floods had damaged the mine. Maybe he does read this board????

If he does then next RNS next week must confirm coal has been shipped. We now need regular news flow and events as they happen. We need to know that coal is definitely going out the gate, so confirmation of coal shipped.

Definitely one on the 2nd September confirming hand over.

.... Edenville in Tanzania can't tell the people back in the UK that the mine is open. Did they lose the padlock key after all???

I can't see Edenville BoD suddenly changing, but I am expecting a RNS on Monday stating as fact, that the mine is open.

The question is will there be people today wanting to buy in before 7 a.m. RNS on Monday? Tanzania is 2 hours ahead of us. So 7 a.m. here will be 9 a.m. there, will Edenville wait until they have confirmed that the mine is open before RNS-ing?
That might not come until after the market is open here in the UK, so will there be a small window of opportunity Monday morning to top up before the RNS comes?

Let's see what the last hour brings today.

... there is always a reason why Edenville don't quite make it. I'm hoping that Monday will see a change to that, but I can't help having this nagging doubt that somebody will lose the padlock key over the weekend

Tim PR has been aware of the need for the Board to engage from his first week on the account. Way back then I emailed him to welcome him to the account and told him not to hide behind the "we'll tell you only when the market forces us to tell you" approach that the previous PR company employed.

The PR company have been contacted many times and urged to recommend the BoD issue an RNS, either Tim PR needs some training or the BoD ignore his pleas, but historically Edenville's BoD haven't been great at issuing RNS they don't legally have to issue.

....that after all the jam we've been fed over the years, the market needs that confirm on Monday and again on the 1st September that what was said has actually happened

I'm expecting, nay, demanding a RNS by noon UK time on Monday confirming to the market that the mine is open.

Waiting game now,

The mine will open, get handed over, production will increase, price will go up in a wobbly line.
