"Cheeky git! I'm getting it as I'm classed as key staff - which will annoy a certain 'devilish' troll..."
I do hope that NAT AS responds in a caring, humane way......
I thought those over 80 had been done by now...….
No, think we will end up with ODX taking over ABDX!

"....what could possible go wrong? Clearly nothing. The Government is in complete control and if you dare to think otherwise its the naughty step for you!
I always told students that PhD stood for Pile it Higher and Deeper or Pantomime Horse Degree.
To be fair achieving one is a good achievement.
The salary offered is competitive and it does seem low. Perhaps, this tells us a great deal about how society has valued such jobs and why we are in such a mess with the lack of manufacturing and diagnostics capacity !

"If they have achieved design freeze and are in verification/validation in sure there will be a place at the table for them as well as ODX especially as there are rumours ODX will manufacture for them"
Avacta are according to their last RNS are still tinkering with their test(s)but have stated they are happy with them. So, no design freeze yet and ODX are clearly geared to manufacturing the Mologic antigen test and are working on its tech transfer which could be completed soon.
Personally, I think the rumour of ODX manufacturing Avacta test is wishful thinking from the Avacta bb and currently just does not stack up commercially for ODX.

In this particular case the RNS will be led by Abingdon.
From a protocol perspective the Chief Executive and the Chair Board will usually instruct a member of the governance team to write the RNS BUT its signed off by the Chief Executive. Hence referring to you as NAT AS as you got this one backwards!
An Interesting and very serious move that could mean that the Consortium cannot meet capacity short term and applying for FDA approval initially may have been made to get our Government to wake up and place some orders.
RNS incoming?
"Is herd immunity even a possibility.... isn't the latest we don't know if you get immunity?"
Interesting question! Classic answer is "it depends".
Can we vaccinated 75% of the population/herd very quickly?
Can those vaccinated still be carriers ? Yes
Do the vaccinated have immunity for longer than 5 months? Answer, a "Yes" but how long and will it vary depended upon age, race or gender?
What are the implications of the mutation of covid on current vaccines?
Will you need to be vaccinated more than once a year and so can you reach a position where enough of the population have got herd immunity?
The permutations are almost endless but the constant will be constant testing and that's not a good thought for society but good for UK diagnostic manufacturing industry.
I had thought it was demerged to sell off but we were told there had ben no offers. This is good as its value will increase but it only has one million in the bank and so perhaps share placing on the cards at some stage?
This is really good news for ODX. It has been known for many months that it was the intention of Mologic
"To guarantee access to the rapid test in low- and middle-income countries, the COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test will be manufactured and made available by Global Access Diagnostics (GAD), at cost of production and distributed through commercialisation partners"
They clearly now have a product that meets the approval of the Government and ODX are doing the tech transfer to sell under their own brand in the Developed World, which has always been the intention. Ramping up production to 2 million a week could give over 100 million a year. GLA
"Sorry to be boring but Accustem should be appearing in our portfolios soon I think, anyone know when?"
No specific date has been given but it was circa 2 months from demerger and so its due soon but expect a delay! Hope within next two weeks unless its been sold...
Agreed and had a little top up. Next week is going to be historic in many ways!
Regulator "I have a holding in Avacta but I see ODX as the more robust investment, in part because Colin doesn't over-promise"
Agreed and in same position. ODX, as a manufacturer is in a much safer investment and has a degree of clarity in their statements that are easy to follow!
Avacta don't have a test yet and don't appear to have done a "design freeze" but they are confident they can do the tech transfer when they are happy with their product(s). Sorry, if this is not a clear answer and I have reduced my shares there by 90% and put into ODX.
"Ok - so we are relying on Mologic or Avacta to win the LFD antigen race"
No! Mologic and Avacta working at full capacity could not supply enough tests. ODX is in a really good position!
"Not sure what to make of this news. If it’s proven vaccines offer protection for up to 5 months their won’t be need for regular antibody testing if govt aim is to vaccinate total adult population by autumn"
If you read the article they only have five months data and that's what they are reporting on. If anything it will mean you need more antibody and antigen testing.
Wow! Bring out the clowns!!! I really don't get why some people are so unhappy with ODX and want to constantly share their unhappiness with strangers on a chat board? However, even that is to be preferred to those posts from 'shareholders' who post clear, misleading information.
I am still believe ODX is a low risk and high reward share. GLA
