According to these guys Galantas could have easily raised 200MCAD if they had wanted to - there was that much demand! They are blown away by the scale and exploration potential at Indiana, which seems is not fully appreciated by the market. Once the Andacollo transaction has been approved I think we’ll see a re-rate here.

Many U.K. listed companies have these arrangements, with the trustees usually being in the Channel Islands. Perfectly normal.

This will be in relation to the new Employee Benefit Trust they announced. Shares will have been transferred into the EBT to warehouse, for share awards for certain employees. JTC are the trustees of the EBT by the looks of it.

In reality the share price is driven by activity on the TSXV rather than AIM. There is far more volume there.

Until the private placement completes it is unlikely that the SP will increase by more than a penny or two.

Whatever the reason Galantas will certainly be fully funded once the private placing completes and so there should be no further dilution with the exception of remaining warrants being exercised.

Yep, absolutely loads of cash and should be more than sufficient to get both projects up and running in next 6-9 months. Very exciting times!

I agree tbcx. Whilst I was pretty annoyed when I first read the RNS for the reasons that 40034427 states, it makes a lot of sense to bring the funds in now if the market is crying out to participate at close to the share price pre-announcement. It seems to me that Galantas has captured the market’s attention following the recent MRE announcement and the share recommencing trading in Canada. If institutions are willing to invest so much money that is a huge vote of confidence for the company and should give us all even more assurance that the company has unbelievable potential. The funds will de-risk the projects hugely and lead to them being progressed much quicker. Whilst debt would have been good at one level, who knows how long that may have taken to secure and on what terms - they may have been relatively unattractive. I like the CEO being extremely positive but he needs to be more cautious with his language and not hide behind the ‘forward statements’ narrative. I note the TSXV is currently trading higher than the placement SP which has got to be a good sign.

It will be interesting to see how the Canadian market reacts this afternoon because activity on the TSXV drives the share price far more than activity on AIM does (due to volumes on the TSXV being significantly higher).

The dip was because of trading on the TSXV recommencing after 4 months, having stopped trading at 0.23 CAD. The TSXV is where the main liquidity is and it needed time to adjust to the news on Andacollo.

I don’t necessarily agree with that. The fact that the projects are hugely de-risked will provide the market with more confidence that the projects will be able to produce. In the short term it will most certainly have a negative impact but once Andacollo project has been approved by minority shareholders and market raise done I expect this to re-rate.

Interesting the timing of the announcement though given that the Andacollo project has not gone through yet.
