What the current views and consensus on this share?

£2.5k last week. Another £2k in today on the drop. Will continue to “dollar cost average” this one down, at these prices it feels obvious…

I m looking to buy too. Its always a guess if its a falling knife and you wait before picking it up or catch it in time for the turn.

Thoughts on the volatily this week? We ve seen a reversal of 50p since the highs of the 5th.

Pleased to have snapped these up in my SIPP as new issue. Also opted in to converting my 6.5% ones due in 2027 to this.

Interesting take. I, like you, think LGEN is undervalued however my view is this will continue whilst we navigate the nightmare that is the current Government. Somewhat different to you, I cashed out of LGEN to take profit, which was near perfect timing, i missed the downswing, then the rebounding august upswing and then the trend back down again. As i noted on another thread earlier today (TW.L) I am waiting for the potential bad news of budget to see where the opportunity lies before buying back in. Time will tell if that was wise or not - but at least it’s more comfortable.

Upcoming budget, bad news expected, TW has generally trended downwards over last 6months, 1 month, and 1 week, and I d wager its more UK Gov related than TW itself. The fire safety defects news from July is probably behind us.

Reason for opinion. I ve held my ISA shares as i m in the red but the DIV is good. I bought and sold my in my sipp and made a quick profit but i ll wait until after budget before considering another play.

App notification a few minutes ago that TW is set to be kicked out FTSE100 in latest quarterly reshuffle. I m sure a few wont be happy with this

11.5% dividends and matures in Oct 2026. I have owned this a while but i see today that it’s not loading on my Yahoo app. Wondering who else has some?

The share price will drop by the ex-dividend amount on/at market open on Thursday - at that point in time, assuming no changes in price, you are no better and no worse off selling and taking profit vs. Holding and taking the div. The difference is you ll have realised the profit now, instead having the ex-dividend and waiting another 6 weeks to receive it as a dividend. If it drops by more than the 15p you the sell option works out better, if it recovers in day the hold strategy works. This would be true regardless of quantity, Mararab. I take your point that its a costlier option for larger holdings, but its also more painful penalty on Thursday if it drops after ex-dividend.

I weighed that up too. I figured that in worst case i can buy back in post ex-div and miss out on a few pence as a result. Would rather that than miss taking the profit now. I am a long term LGEN holder, and will buy back in when the time is right.

I would like to clear my feet of it too but currently down a little according to ii account. Guess i ll need to hold for a little longer....

Sold 249.5, will buy back after the Ex-Div. A simple ChatGPT or AI query can tell you that the share price dropped further than the ex-div typically over past 5yrs. With market uncertainty, there’s also a chance of taking the profit now and also gaining again on any decline. Bearing in mind 2 weeks ago we were at ~225p.
