And if cashflow managed properly during the construction might only need a facility to draw down on as and when required although might not leave a sufficient emergency fund or a pot for further exploration.
I've been here a while and am still positive but we always seem to be waiting for something!! An II to buy in, an II to sell out, AISC coming down, LOM extension, news news and more news!!
For my part I think there are 3 things holiding us back of which 2 can be resolved soon being the AISC and finally SC selling out but I also think Dan is a bit tarnished and I wonder what the markets reaction would be to someone like Ian Stalker replacing Dan at the head of Hummingbird? I don't see it happening by the way.
Still hopeful and waiting for the imminent re-rate!!
I see it as the first (and probably most important) building block with others to follow but it would have been nice if they had been able to squeeze in some production before the winter close down (just my opinion).
Well if SC are the drag on the SP hopefully this news will generate the volume to allow them to sell whatever remaining shares they are looking to sell and then we can sit and see what happens from there.
anon2 take it however you like, I am certainly no fan of Dan Betts that's for sure but I also don't put everything at his door. Would your investment be as low as it is now if the gold price was still $1,950? That's my point and I have asked this board what would be the effect on the SP if Dan was replaced by someone like Stalker? My money would be on at least a double digit % increase on the SP but I don't see Dan going anywhere, some good and some bad, marmite to most.
