The USD to GBP is within a couple of cents of the exchange rate it was 18 months ago...
With a heavy heart I'm now out having sold every one of my 70+k shares before close of play yesterday. I would be very angry if those buys reperesented some sort of insider dealing (as suggested by Mr Taylor) in the knowledge that there is another suitor or increased offer or something that would kick the PI's in the goolies again. Could it be proven and action taken? A very moot point methinks...
...2 huge shaft diameter wide loads have just been delivered to Woodsmith on the backs of heavy load trailers with a Police Escort. They had the "H" logo for Herrenknecht TBM gear on them; traffic stopped all over for them. Probably came from Tesside docks. I did hear that some machinery at Woodsmith was also being stencilled with 'York Potash' on it. Would that remove ownership from Sirius Minerals..?
I heard last night, probably a rumour, that ICL was 'perhaps' going to make an offer. That may be worth a couple of pence or so difference to the offer price, but could that be a starter for 10..?
LONDON, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Anglo American Plc is likely to confirm a deal to buy fertiliser company SiriusMinerals Plc for more than $500 million excluding debt, ahead of an early February deadline to finalise its bid, three sources close to the matter said.
Plus the fact that the 'sources' say that discussions have been on-going for 9 months! We should have been told... is there a reason that CF would keep that info out of the public domain, and therefore possibly avoiding attention by other miners?
...do we have before the AA deal gets approved? Is there a time by when any other 'angel' miner/recue package MUST be in for AA's measly termed takeover not to go ahead? How long have these talks been going on for? What is a 'considerable' time and should we and any other interested people have been told sooner? It really does smell...
I have a modest 85k shares which cost me exactly 0.00p. When I sliced I did have my heart in my mouth however...but now i can feel relieved and wonder if I ought to buy some more...? Thoughts...
I am very reliably informed that the TBM is nearly 3 miles in and has reached 97m a day recently. I expect anRNS on the 16th about finance...
I never read anything more of an article that has so much flim-flam in it and refers to the product as potash - bah! The R4 talk didn't happen today as it was overtaken by on the day stuff.
...I hear that there will be 'talk' about Sirius on R4's Today programme between 7 & 9 on Monday morning...
It wasn't me but I did have a small top-up today - silly not to at these prices! I still cannot for the life of me understand why someone who bought at (say) 25p is bailing out now. Neither can I understand why they would feel the need to advertise the fact on here...
So...do you think that Sirius is a Potash miner then..? Why should mothballing of a Canadian potash mine be of consequence to Sirius?
Aww Gee LoM !
HaHaha...or hey may find life on Mars!!

The Fool says...'With the huge value of the resources in question'...Oh really? Where the flying f*** did they get that gem from? Idiots...and also are those huge buys just after 5 an indication of something up?
Tristan is a clever chap - he is the company geologist and is only doing this job until he can get back underground. Don't knock him for not jumping to your pompous requests...
I only know of one Australian working there...
No Max, don't worry at all...I've bought a few recently but unfortunately not on that scale! I am adding when, as an OAP I can afford to. My only worry about Sirius is not that we will be very well off eventually but that I 'm still around to go SKI ing!!
...is on site at Woodsmith and being assembled right now... can't find out when it will be actually operational - 'But Soon'.
5000 shares for ÂŁ400! What a bargain - I'll have some at that price!!
