"Mine are with the Halifax paid in sterling, on automatic reinvestment which occurred today, also had a 30% deduction despite being in an ISA and I have completed form W8BEN.
Me thinks it maybe time for a move to different online stockbroker…."
Declare it on your self assessment and claim it back. It should be at 15%, not 30% irrespective of whether its going into an ISA or your trading account. If HMRC kick up a fuss refer them back to Halifax as they are forcing you into that position by overtaxing you in the first place.
"Less selfish shareholders have kindly participated in the tender offer so there are less shares in issue"
I guess I'm selfish because I won't be selling and then re-buying under a nonsense proposal aimed at those with significant holdings.

"If Scotland invited a Russian base into Scotland, pitty the Scottish and good riddance. We can stop the flow of money, build a bloody great big wall and send all the Scots south of the boarder packing. It is noticeable that nobody invites Russia in for security. What does Mexico have to fear? Your argument is pathetic."
What "flow of money" ? - hopefully we can get our independence soon enough so we can stop the flow oil, gas, electricity and more importantly water, which your quickly running out of down south.
The app was in English for me....
"S7ein indequate remoaner filtered"
LOLLLLLL - Uneducated Brextard filtering others for pointing out the obvious. What a moron.
"I tried to set-up an account too and got the same back. their chat didnt explain why they didnt provide a service to UK residents but that they were working on it"
I'd have thought the reason they don't cater for UK citizens would have been evident. Look inwards at the British Gammon, or should we say "B"acon.
Hopefully they don't provide a service. The English after all wanted us all to be less dependant on the EU. Shame really, would have probably save your SIPPs.
"A few years after we left the SNP gained power and over the years has systematically destroyed public services in Scotland"
Yeah, all the SNP's fault, nothing to do with topics such as austerity. Sigh. Its always confused me as to why supporters of the Union cannot fathom that Scotland was not immune to such a destructive act as the above.
The UK is finished in its current form. The Conservatives hopefully finished for good in the upcoming election.
Conservatives and their voters will blame everything on anyone and everyone else. It's never their fault. Labour this, Labour that, SNP this, SNP that. "Yeah but would it be better under Labour" blah blah blah - Couldn't be any worse to be fair. Such a whiny bunch. As for "Shareholders" - Why wouldn't Labour have each and every UK citizen at heart? We are ALL shareholders through various different schemes. Its a general misunderstanding on what a shareholder actually is. The anger surrounds the big wigs getting massive dividends and large corporations generating huge profits. Tax them progressively and put that money back into society.
"But the companies will just leave" - No they won't.
With that said the Conservatives aren't as bad as the Brexit loons though. That's all France's and the EU's fault apparently.
"Assume if you wanted that then it would include Edinburgh as well as London. With Edinburgh being the 2nd largest financial district in UK and 4th in Europe then would not really assist with your political ambitions for Scotland would it if these companies went overseas"
This a typical "anti-independence" response. No one would move overseas given profit can still be made, and even if they did taxes are still liable on the country said revenues were made in. In addition, where they moving too exactly given the majority of the world have higher corporation taxes than the UK?
The UK has increased their tax rates, therefore better move to a country with even higher rates. It's laughable. Not as laughable as the old: "Where's the money coming", whilst the UK as a whole is drowning in debt.
"Future investment in North Sea killed stone dead overnight."
LOL. Unlikely. The Oil and Gas companies are still killing it. If anything they will increase investment to reduce the additional tax liability.
The industry itself is struggling with resource and can barely keep up with current investment being made as it is.
I personally hope Evraz do get delisted so I don't have to read the copious amounts of trash on this board.
Only a fool would think the most corrupt Government in UK's history, one who syphoned off billions of tax payers money, are going to order the delisting of a multi national company, with shareholders who have lined their pockets in the past.
And if they do delist? Who cares. The business continues, dividends will re-commence, updates will be provided through their website and will see a re-list elsewhere. Shareholders own the company FFS. Get a grip.
