Off market trades, NT trades, Over exaggerate prices movements generally to get the PI to sell at the top or the bottom, so they can feed their City mates "I want 2m at an avg price of £1" or just to create volatility for their own ends i.e. the MM's never lose. So you get wild movements.

Look at NCYT chart for last 12 months & key points.

NCYT market cap at £11 = c900m. ODX equivalent c£5. Will it get there who knows.

bang they dropped 25% in 5 mins during a CK presentation in Oct & then it was 15% up an hour after it finished. 40% movement on little volume & apparently its just buys and sells. The clue is in the name "make" a market.

You have a big II & they want some action but only happy to pay for £xm at an average price of xx pence. If you have a few what do you think the MM is going to do to fulfill that trade when the price is above the avg price? They are going to move it to where they can grab shares to achieve the avg price reqd by a big pocketed buyer. That's why you see delayed trades, off market trade, trades after close, NT trades etc etc etc.

The market is like any the bigger the pocket the bigger the sway over the price you want not the price dictated to the rest of us - "all market participants are on a level playing field" = NOT

Remember all its about market cap when we start talking about SP rises. NCYT max at about 950m at £11/share & currently at £8. This equates to c£5 & £3.50 equivalent for ODX assuming all things are equal.
