Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
The linked article is another highlight as to why Islandmagee is important. However, watch out for bad comments / fake info from Consuella & co undermining that. Maybe they have leanings to that man near Ukraine.
LSE03 your posts are great.
Others however have a different agenda that everyone should be aware of. Consuela / Lisa and cronies try and trash H&W at every turn. They want H&W to die and none of them even have any shares. They just stir for some hidden agenda.
I quote from your linked article, "Noel Cunniffe, CEO of Wind Energy Ireland, said: We want to build Irish offshore wind farms in Irish ports. That is the best way to create jobs at home and to deliver offshore wind energy at the lowest possible price".
The obvious conclusion is that Consuela & co are anti the Irish renewables sector, which includes wind and solar. Without companies like H&W there is nothing. One can only guess at what their long term goals might be.
Hi Si_D, it was just as a memory jog for some and info for others. Also since it's a route to net zero, local employment +, it shows that Consuela et al have the opposite agenda and are irresponsible at best.
Re LSE03, the Belfast telegraph article says "In February 2022, the government awarded just under £1m to B9 Energy Storage’s Power-to-X project in Ballylumford in Co Antrim. The first-of-its-kind facility will store green hydrogen, produced by electrolysers, in underground salt caverns".
See https://www.mutual-energy.com/news/ballylumford-power-to-x-project-to-accelerate-the-commercialisation-of-first-of-a-kind-longer-duration-energy-storage/
which says "B9 Energy, Mutual Energy, Islandmagee Energy Ltd and the Net Zero Technology Centre awarded £986,000 government funding to deliver Power-to-X Project as part of the Longer Duration Energy Storage (LODES) Demonstration programme by the Department for Business Energy & Industry Strategy (BEIS)"

Consuela and her associates (there are quite a few) have always made extremely negative and destructive comments. They have never ever said anything positive, it's always destructive. Quite simply they are out to destroy H&W with all that means (lost jobs in all the UK sites, shipbuilding, defence, security, trash path to net zero ...). It's shades of fake news from Mr P's friends. Maybe they have white, blue and red tattoos?
Yesterday on MSN we had https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/uk-government-gives-almost-%C2%A31million-to-ni-project-based-on-gas-caverns-being-legally-challenged/ar-AAVPSod.
Some like Consuela et al have their own agenda and want it to fail. At the very least, they are under the misguided belief that talking H&W down will make the project fail. It won't because the Islandmagee cat is out of the bag and it will find a home regardless of the fortunes of H&W. If it isn't developed by H&W then it will find another home and that owner might be a devil they really don't want to know. Hopefully it will be developed by H&W, but if not then someone else will develop it. It's now an asset that can be passed on or even acquired by someone else.
I'm at a loss as to why some are baselessly attacking H&W at this time of troubles. We need to think about not lining Putin's gas and oil coffers and also about security, shipbuilding and defence. Yes, my parents did experience the Russ.... first hand, so you know where I lie. Maybe it's time that some others et al stood up and were counted. Do some have a hidden agenda?
Just in case anyone hasn't noticed, some recent job adverts at https://www.nijobs.com/Marine-Engineering-Jobs-in-Northern-Ireland. One for a Senior Buyer and another for an Operations Manager.
To check share prices I like to use LSE and https://uk.finance.yahoo.com and sometimes I use https://www.google.com/finance (although I give less weight to the Google prices). At the end of the afternoon the prices all come together and typically agree by 5:30pm. There have been few trades today as I write (less than 10 so far according to LSE, so what follows is only a little better than 50 50 chance), but I'm putting an optimistic spin on things with Yahoo and Google showing a rise of almost 4%.
The two trades of £5000 each at around 9:05am this morning were two buys by me. Although they were buys, LSE is showing them as sales. It's been said before, be careful when deciding what's a buy and what's a sale because it can be very misleading. Brokers do their best to interpret what is a buy or a sale, but really it's just a best guess and I don't think they are that manipulative. I happened to buy at a good price that was lower than the average that LSE saw at the time of buying - so they interpreted it as a sell. Keep in mind that there are time delays in reporting buys or sales and the price can easily move a little between reports, resulting in a buy being interpreted as a sale and vice versa. Don't just trust me on this, Google it and do your own homework.
The point that I'm really making is that I think it's time to cautiously start loading up on H&W. Who wants to be a late runner?
