Where can you find M&A news? (Newbie questions)3 Jan 2020 21:27
Hello! I am a newbie and did not even dare to buy this share because I did not have a clue it was the first trading day after an acquisition. But if I bought some in the morning, I would be very happy. Anyway, what is done is done but I can still learn something from this. My questions are very basic, please forgive my newbie school boy questions:
1. Where can you get M&A news? Especially, are there any timetable to tell you when the first trading day happens after an acquisition etc? It looks like some of you have been waiting and knew it was happening.
2. What method do you use to determine the new target price? I understand the very basic one is "Tangible Asset/share outstanding" which gives a very basic idea without considering the synergy value or even looking deep into other assets of a company. I am very surprised that many of you can make such a quick/premise decision to make a purchase.
Thanks for answering.
