My holding by 50%, the risk of breaking bank covenants virtually removed after this mornings news, they must be very confident that the repairs wont take too long, probably end of next week we will be back in production and generating good cash flows once again

It seems were in a news rich period, lots going on, and Politicians all bartering for positions, Turkey are holding out for the best finance deals to benefit themselves , Iraq (Baghdad) are quietly content to let this play out and are playing hard ball with Turkey as they (SOMO) wont want any special deals on KRG oil exports to Turkey, KRG are stuck in the middle,

they may have to look to exports to the South , but that will take time!!, (may be worth it in the long term, but it gives even more power back to Baghdad?, so they are in a bit of a pickle ATM , Local trucking sales will no doubt keep the IOC,s operating for now, but it has put on hold all the growth plans in the IRAQI Budget , for now,

im sure it will be resolved , but the KRG should be looking at all the options open to them , imo

Maestro . it looks like the money could have been better spent in Hindsight, but the Asset is a great asset, and very cash generative , the problem is the FSPO , it has been the bane of Montara production issues from day one,

JSE have spent huge amounts of cash in replacing worn parts updating plant and equipment and carrying out ongoing repairs and maintenance issues, this has lead to unforeseen production stoppages

they do really need to get a grip on these problems that will keep re-occurring if they fail to put good safe plans in place.

at the moment its one problem after another, the market doesnt like it, which is why were currently flatlined at the moment, the sooner this new COO is put in place the better!!!!, imo i just hope its someone with FPSO experience ,

As Paul has been found to be lacking in this field ,imo he alone should bear responsibility for all this downtime , after last years fiasco!!!!

So it looks like they are getting even closer, could happen anytime, imo

Updated today, where they are Operator of the North West Shelf Project are moving ahead.

The North West Shelf Project (NWS) consists of three offshore platforms and the onshore Karratha Gas Plant, which includes five onshore LNG processing trains. It produces LNG, condensate, pipeline gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs).

Woodside's share of production in the first half of 2023 was 22.7 MMboe. This was a 73% increase compared to the first half of 2022 due to the increase of Woodside's equity share following completion of the merger in June 2022. Gas processing operations through the Interconnector continued with 5.4 MMboe of Pluto gas processed in H1 2023.

KGP is expected to have increased ullage in 2024 due to a combination of natural field decline and limited third-party gas processing demand. To reduce operating costs, NWS is assessing taking one LNG train offline. Discussions continue between NWS and other resources owners for the processing of third-party gas and NWS continues to evaluate infill and nearfield opportunities to utilise ullage at KGP.

NWS is on track to receive Waitsia gas for processing.

The Browse and NWS joint ventures are progressing negotiation of key commercial terms in support of the Browse to NWS development concept. Browse is a large backfill opportunity to fill long-term NWS ullage due to the quantity and the compatibility of the gas resource with the KGP facilities.

The NWS Project Extension proposal remains subject to an ongoing WA statutory appeals process. The proposal supports the long-term operations and future processing of third-party gas resources. The Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC) assessment remains paused until the appeals process is completed. Engagement with the Commonwealth regulator continues.set at North West Shelve,

PAUL, no doubt has skills in getting deals done which benefits the Company as can be seen by the previous deals he has headed up, what were lacking here is a good PR Guy/Gal. who keeps us informed and updated ,

The Company Website is ok, but again a bit drab!!!, i would like to see a bit more enthusiasm put into the Akatar video updates for instance, not the repeat fly overs with no background sounds or music to keep you focused etc,

some of the views are too far from the action, imo, even through in a recent Managers briefing etc,

its an exciting Asset and will grow the future growth plans of the Company, they should promote it more!!!!!, imo

The question remains that during the initial repairs to the ballast tank 4s, which had previously been cleaned and repaired, while at the same time noting that other "Minor " areas would have to be addressed, has the Company rushed the initial start up without carrying out these other areas of interest?, Some one should be held accountable if it was one of the areas that required attention , is now the problem we are having to deal with ??

Oil cargo tank 2C: the site of the original hull defect which resulted in the small release of oil in June 2022 has been removed and a permanent repair has now been completed. Initial visual inspection of the tank confirms the overall condition to be good, with a small number of minor defects to be addressed.

· Ballast water tank 4S: the bulkhead location of the defect identified in August 2022 has been repaired. Several smaller defects identified as part of a wider inspection of tank 4S are currently being repaired.

Hopefully Paul can enlighten us with a proper update, and full restoration to the tank, not just a quick fix and patch up job!!!,
