Morning guys sorry for the late reply but cycling all day and soon as we hit a town we end up in a bar so hard to squeeze everything in. (Still haven’t rang the wife after 5 days -Oops)
I went back a little later and got to be honest, didn’t see any customers but did manage to catch some woman employee waiting for one so asked her how busy the river cruise was and she said the capacity was 190 with 109 current. I asked her if that was ‘normal’ and she said yes.
Sagas boat was impressive but I noticed loads of others out there sailing of a similiar size with few from what I could see people on them?
It was a murky morning so maybe everyone was having breakfast?
Don’t read too much into my ramblings though because I wasn’t there long.
Iron man Bolton AGAIN in 3 weeks guys signed up my son noooooooo! Ha ha
So funny this.
I’m currently on a cycling holiday in Europe and in Germany (Cologne) The lads are a bit hung over so I thought I would nip out for a morning run down by the river and typing this I am stood next to the Spirit of the Rhine!
Looks really busy down by the breakfast are a.
Still very early but not leaving for a few hours so will check again later to see how full it is.
Did make me laugh though.
Wish I could post the photo!
3 of my 4 £10 grand buys today are marked as sells and red.
Seen it all before but be aware that the buy/sell on Lse is not accurate.
Anyone selling Wrks atm IMO is CRAZY!
Nice to see that Lombard reduced their short again on Monday.
With an average of (IMO) 57p they bought back 0.08% (273,600 shares) at best 64 - 65p?
I am! Ha ha
excited about getting the results tomorrow (Friday) and keen to make a prediction for the share price at close of play?
No?
Just little old me then. Ha ha
60p
Card Factory opened their last remaining locked down stores in the Republic of Ireland and have never looked back.
12 months of uninterrupted trading for all 1019 stores and they are raking it in.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it Lombard! Ha ha
Won’t show yet but that 20,108 @ 0.494439 is mine (aswell as the 9757 @ 0.508889 earlier) thank you very much.
This game is all about taking educated risks and IMO this will be double this in 12 months.
The good news is that for every seller there are clearly buyers.
The bad news is that it is me and you! Ha ha
Well spotted Smorty yes 20th is Friday.
Likewise my ‘paper loss’ is similiar to yours because I also have been loading up the last 2 weeks. Those two 10 grand purchases today @51p are mine. I have a good feeling about this Friday but if our gamble doesn’t pay off then this is a good long term hold so all good.
Hi Carlost
Trading Update RNS this Thursday (20th) and judging by how busy the shops were over Xmas I’m hoping that the results are going to be good. If they announce that they are going to reinstate the dividend for FY22 then this should fly.
JoeSoap + Jedclampit + RoxburyHouse = combined age of 180+ oh dear when did that happen?
Holiday/house/health insurance never took it never will it’s a scam!
Are you still keeping off those cigs JoeSoap? and drinking more water? I hope so, must be 6 months now.
Ps I loaded up the kids Isas in here at £2.90 - got to laugh.
Just noticed that the Card Factory App has been updated with “minor bug fixes and performance improvements”
This is great news and hopefully just the beginning of regular updates.
Hi Morgan22 tbh I really don’t know how a recession would impact Card but if I was to guess I wouldn’t automatically think it would be a bad thing?
Surely a recession would make people question spending more than 99p on a card so we could in theory attract more customers?
I’m most probably the oldest person here (damn) but I distinctly remember as a kid (in the 60’s) having so many that my job was to tie bits of string between the ceiling light and each of the 4 corners of our sitting room ceiling and hanging them so they doubled as decorations. Ha ha
All before Card Factories days of course but everyone (even Simes) has a memory of making cards at School and giving them out to friends and family.
It’s tradition and very clever of the founder Dean Hoyle and his wife who spotted an opportunity back in 1997 to create the Company.
To survive though it has to adapt and change with the times and that’s exactly what it is doing going on line to steal some of MP and FP market share and supplying cards to Aldi and the Reject shop in Australia.
*feel.
It’s still early days of course and anything could happen but weighing everything up (and finally in profit) I’m feeling really really positive about Card and think we have turned a corner.
Simes is just doing his job of course but he has to realise that his audience rightly or wrongly are just not interested in his negativity.
He is correct of course stating that people don’t buy as many Cards as they used to. At Xmas time for example we used to get cards from neighbours “Happy Xmas No 10 from No 6” etc but nobody bothers anymore.
Card realise this and have adapted, expanding into gifts and increasing the basket size and its working.
The launch share price of Card was £3.50 ish and was sat comfortably before Covid at £1:50 so 60p is a bargain IMO.
£1+ this time next year easily.
Good morning simes.
Let it go mate honestly you will better, just let it go.
There is nothing wrong with being wrong.
Hi Accipiter hope your enjoying your holiday I’m also in Greece (Cyprus). Did you notice that “phase1” of Cards ERP Implementation is now complete? Not sure what that means considering it is almost a year late but I ain’t complaining because as mentioned in one of my previous posts I feel like Card have turned a corner with the latest announcements.
DYOR of course but check out WRKS.
18847 @ 0.527512 very happy with that.
Just like Shoe, Card and Wrks will be £1+ this time next year and we will all look back at regret not buying more at this ridiculous price.
Again all IMO only so DYOR!
Thought it could have been you. I have another £10k buy pending this morning, been 20 minutes?
