Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Funny, this has been something i have been thinking about looking forward, the same amount of btc are mined no matter what, we are in an unsustainable race to keep up and constantly stay at the % (or above) to make money, at what point does this become such a big drain on power that it becomes a real issue. Green or not, it still means expending energy, making more mining machines, stopping production of cars cos theres not enough chips in the world, and the miners are paying exponential prices to companies to make mining chips. You cant even consider Moores law helping cos every company is subject to Moores law so cancel each other out. Also the energy required to build these machines and write off after 3 years. We're not there yet, but i think that is a future risk. Someone else mentioned this was dealt with in the btc architecture, How?

I watch Gold Rush, one of my favourite shows, have you seen how much fuel they go through and leave disastrous scars on the landscape when theyre finished, they ruin whole ecosystems for a generation or more, btc mining can use green energy and builds a super efficient building to house them in, how does gold mining get away with this, cos its accepted. we will be accepted too, but takes ppl a long time to wake up to this new technology, but this is the year of crypto and its wide acceptance
