MM are trying to squeeze every share out they can here, tried pulling it back 4-5 times in the last half an hour for it to bounce straight back

Have an MCap if £5.5B Sterling with not a very attractive balance sheet imo. More debt, less production, less the £800m value of tax relief. You have nearly £2b in additional value in less debt and tax relief straight away before you throw in better hedging and more production going forward. £6-8B co.

Would taking on some renewable production attract more investors on the FTSE I wonder? Showing that willingness to transition even if that clearly isn’t the business model.lol

I don’t mean to offend anyone who has lost anyone through this, that is not my aim so apologies in advance if I have. I’m just stating the consequences of carrying on like we are.

If we carry on the way we are the mental health of the nation is the next 10 years will be a disaster, think of the OCD and anxiety this is breading, children growing up thinking humans carry virus’s and should be kept at arms length, washing their hands a hundred times a day scared of a bit of bacteria.
And then there’s the danger of complete economic collapse and thousands of deaths with unemployment and poverty, and a communist system where unemployment is massive and everyone is on universal incomes.
These are very real possibility’s, and there needs to be some common sense applied to these almost negligible/rigged statistics.

Very selfish way to approach the problem, your at risk so put all the youngers lives not only on hold, but in danger to save your own?
I wonder if you are aware that sitting in your house for months on end weakening your immune system and then wearing face nappies that are proven to not work is also very detrimental to the Young’s health, physical and mental, and they are the future so they need more protection.

Current value of equity here to me is 30p so I can see this working its way to around 25p before prospectus is released

I find it odd to plough hundreds of millions into sea lion in the current environment and personally have never thought it would get off the ground after dumping my rkh shares at 30p years ago, however chrysaor do seem to talk like it’s an asset they are keen to progress? Or is that just the same old talk to kick the can down the road a little longer...

Obviously oil averaged around $60 in 2018 so there are huge obvious differences to the current climate but try some sums at 235,000 boepd then add Tolmount at 25,000 then throw in zama with another 30,000 and you tell me this company is going to be valued at less than £5B and our equity isnt worth 26-27p right now.
Do not forget the hedges in place for this year which have got to be the best on the market,Perfectly played out for a hopefully recovery next year and back to $60 oil we will easily be looking at pre tax profits with no tax to pay on sums of £1.5B! That’s presuming tolmount is just offsetting Any production declines( for those ‘rusty old assets’ the derampers bang on about)

All in oil, if oil gets back to $55 or more this is a 10B company and imo as it stands now is a 5-6. Ive decided to hold all my 300k shares until relist after suspension where I believe we will be straight back to the 30p region.

Any thoughts or bashing backed up by actual facts and figures welcome?

With regards to AA, I have to say it was a shame to see the sold sign go up but we all did well out of it didn’t we! Them decoms seemed to be repelling and new Big investors and it just never seemed like it would reflect fair value. :-(

Thanks for the reply surfit. It sounds like I misunderstood the severity of the situation.
That being said the production side sounds more like human error and doesn’t sound to be any cause for concern with regards to the life of the field or future production?

However, in late September, production was constrained due to the produced water plant being offline while a build-up of calcium naphthenate was removed. This work took longer than originally envisaged and the produced water plant was reinstated in early November.

On 9th November, there was a fire in the electrical equipment (HVAC switchboard) in the main store room on board the FPSO which was swiftly and safely extinguished. No personnel were injured. The facilities were made safe and production shut in. BWO, the operator of the Catcher FPSO, is working to reinstate the HVAC which would enable production to restart within the next week.

Anyone I’m the industry tell us if this means catcher is ‘struggling’ or if it’s just one of those maintenance issues?

I do agree sea lion will probably never get developed though, but I don’t think it will impact the valuation at all.

Crippling debt? You mean the debt that can be covered in around 2 years at current prices if neeew be? I don’t consider that crippling debt, it’s actually very manageable in comparison to others. Why are you just looking at the negatives and not the production that will be replacing any declines?
