Largest daily increase ever for the PF today, £-wise.

Primarily thanks to #AVCT putting in an absolute shift (+50%). Haven't sold a single share yet.

200p is ~£400m mkt cap, which I think will be achieved in the coming weeks as the Co develops its game-changing #COVID19 kits.

It seems to me that sulforaphane is the next drug which may be used in treating Covid 19 patients, which is very exciting. See below a paper which suggests this and another which shows that NRF-2 is a good target in inflammatory type situations such as seen in the lungs with Covid-19. Sulforaphane stimulates the NRF-2 pathway as one of its modes of action, which enables the pathway to exert it's anti inflammatory and anti oxidative functions.

So EVG must be having discussions along these lines and has to be a very interesting investment at this lowly level! All just IMHO and DYOR.....

IP Group sold for their own share price crisis in my opinion and not just AVCT stock.

IP Group's (Short code, IPO) share price has tumbled from 140p to as low as 40p over the last two years and it's roughly 50p now. Woodford disposed of their IPO holding during last year, which had a significant negative share price effect. IPO reorganised their portfolio in part as an attempt, in my view, to reverse their diminishing share price and they've just been permitted to buy back up to 10% of their own shares by way of a reduction in capitalisation, as another potential avenue to help stop the rot in their own share price.

Yes, in hindsight, IPO now know they got the timing wrong with their sale of AVCT stock.

Didn't quite make sense because SNG has been 'jumping', if that's what you're referring to, for far longer than that.

If we all had a £ for every time someone states, 'new to bb's', followed by questions that anyone 'following' would already know the answers to, followed by further posts highlighting 'concerns', it would be a lucrative sideline.

Think I'll weigh up the future evidence before drawing a conclusion but I've witnessed it too many times for it to go unnoticed. Often nauseatingly tedious and transparent.

I think you've got your 'odds' description completely wrong. It's not an 'outsider' at all.

SNG001 and it's jockey, the CEO, already has 'form' on the track (against corona type viruses), and the only unknown is 'the conditions' of the track.

Then there's the COPD element.

This is an each way bet and not far off favourite in a very small field.

The only part I'd agree with is the high pay back compared to your stake on success.

No, not worried at all.

Richard Griffiths has been hit hard on a number of his other holdings, so taking a profit on a better performing one, such as SNG, doesn't surprise me.

Examples:

PFC, dropped roughly 50%.
JOG, dropped roughly 60% and he's actively selling there, so taking the hit.

Etc

Now he's gone from SNG, it's more free to move up on any buying. :o

It's just Maks 'hope' to buy in cheaper. ;o)

The effects on a patients condition will be evident swiftly, particularly of you consider in cases where the virus progresses it can be a mere fourteen days from first symptoms to death, sadly.

The measurement of Interferon Beta in the lung to defend against the virus will be swift too. One dose daily.

NHS staff are being hit hard with numbers of cases, witnessing rapid decline in many hundreds, now they're starting to see thousands, of patients, not having sufficient PPE for their own protection, morale is low. If the SNG001 starts to show evidence of it working, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if 'word' got out to colleagues and then further to family members of colleagues, their friends, etcetc. Almost as an expression of sheer relief that there's something positive and that there's hope. And let's face it, that's exactly what it would mean for everyone, involved in the NHS or not.
