I think it is unfair to suggest that City or any poster could embarrass the company and the board.
Posters are free to post what they wish within the boundaries of the platform provider, and clearly some boards are policed better than others- some almost not policed at all like ADVFN.

Unless the company have instructed any individual poster to act for them and post in a certain way, then I think the company are blameless to the discussion forums and the antics of posters.

Most people know who I am and never had any issues with that, except when people have abused that privilege on occasions.

Whilst I am expecting guidance of £5.5m to be hit for last year, I am now keen to a forward looking statement for 2023 as the activity across the portfolio looks impressive.
Revenue of around £5m plus and a valuation of just £1.3m.

That’s the problem with an LSE.
I had it on a previous board as people with differing opinions just set to my username as versions 2 and 3 and it all went a little pear shaped…

Firstly, the MM side must have a 'Chinese Wall' and thus should not in any way be privy to any information not in the public domain...
I know how the above sounds, but it is the FCA regulation.
Yes, a MM can hold stock should they decide that is what they wish.

MM's prefer to have firm orders rather than expected.
If for example an institution decided to buy 3% so maybe close to 200m shares they have various choices.
1- Give there broker 50m to start with a limit price of say 0.06
2- Maybe rest 20m in an algo - liquidity seeking rather than a VWAP or TWAP (not the best for a nano cap stock)
3- Rest the balance in a block MTF like a Liquidnet, Turquoise or Posit

That way they are seeking liquidity across a number of pools and angles.

The Broker would likely work with a MM who in turn (with the 50m) would bid up for stock on the RSP whilst leaving the SETS price the same to give the illusion the price is not moving.
If the above does not work - they could could lower the SETS offer in small size to try and shake out a few loose holders.

Believe you me LT - MM's (and I was one for a fair while and have been CEO, Chairman and a NED of a number of Brokers) rarely take a view on a stock, especially this small.
What a MM and Broker may do though is take a view on the Aim sector and if they feel that nano and micro cap stocks may rally then they will hold shares on there 'back book'...

What the issue is for us retail investors is the lack of sight around 'real' order flow...
- We cannot see what unexecuted orders a broker may hold
- We cannot see what working orders a MM is holding unexecuted and/or unreported at any time
- We cannot see some (maybe all) dark pool executions as they can report away from the LSE...

So we have a snapshot of the bigger picture.

That is not how mM's work as they want two way traded volumes to make there money.
If they are bidding for shares whilst not selling many then it is generally one of two scenarios -
1- They are short (and that is possible given the buying last few days) and want to flatten the book
or
2- They have a big buyer so are bidding up for shares to fill the big buyer...

We should also bear in mind that any contract under 10% or revenues does not require an RNS - so feasible that HVO is actually winning further contracts but not requiring an announcement to the market?
