I have been active in the Markets for over 30 years - anyone who claims to have only made successful investments is telling porkies.

I do recall BISI - a South African miner - and yes, not a good investment (I lost £2.5K)

Do your research - ECWO (now EGL) has done very well and I still hold it in both ISA and SIPP - both capital growth and decent yield.

As for my other investments - I now hold a total of 40 separate shareholdings having reduced from the more than 70 at one time.
