Guys, I think market cap is simply the total number of shares multiplied by the current share price.

I'm sorry to labour the point, but this is a 93% rise from the 360p SP of June 2012. A quite extraordinary performance. This is almost certainly a stupid thing to think/write but the SP rise appears to show no sign of slowing. The £100million share buy-back is not yet completed, and this has to be supporting the SP. All good things come to an end however, so I am watching closely for my exit-point.

I don't know whether to be concerned or not about the lack of news. The commercialisation was to be finalised in Dec 2012, and there was negative comment at ASHG 2012 (strong on talk; weak on substance). It should be a worry as ON is far and away IP's most important investment, but the SP has been doing well. I plan to hold albeit nervously

DMGT is having an extraordinary run! The SP was 450 in mid November. Thats a 28% rise! Can anyone advise/explain please? I know markets generally are doing well, but this is way beyond that! What happened!?

Yes, a great disappointment. I don't think you can believe anything you read or you're told in this game. People have their own agendas, and most are wrong or stupid (or both). I've been invested here for a few years - watching the sp slip forever downwards. Its a DOG this one

Thankyou Lucille - but brokers recommendations don't mean much I'm afraid. They get it wrong more often than right, and change their minds at the drop of a hat. Great tv show by the way!

thanks, yes - I think thats why I bought this at about 140, 3 or 4 years back. It seemed like a good idea (!), and I don't quite understand why it went so horribly wrong. Poor management? Methuselah - I fear they would sell for a lot less than 160 (sadly). 110-120 would be my guess

Christ - this share is a dog. Seems like Its been heading south for a decade! Don't dare calculate how much I'm down on this one. Come on Shanks - even that other old dog Aminex is showing signs of life!
