Meeting will be attended by Governor Elisbán Ochoa.
The indigenous representatives of the fight platform "Peoples Affected by Petroleum Activities-PAAP" that carry out the Amazon Strike in the oil circuit, will hold today, Friday 10, a meeting with the president of the Council of Ministers, Mirtha Vásquez, in order to to address the indigenous agenda and its different demands on the Peruvian State.
This was stated by Ismael Pérez Petsa, PAAP spokesperson, who maintained that despite the invitation by the premier, the fight measures will only be lifted when concrete actions by the Executive Power are evidenced and not verbal agreements typical of this type of meetings.
The indigenous leader indicated that although the protest measures were lifted in Block 95, in the case of Station 5 the measures are far from final. “The villagers are more fired up than ever. We are not tired, on the contrary, we have learned to live among ourselves and we will continue there until we see solutions ”, he declared.
The meeting will be held today at 9 in the morning in the city of Lima. The indigenous leader announced that there is an invitation to the regional governor of Loreto Elisbán Ochoa and his technical team. It should be noted that among the points to be touched is the indigenous hydrocarbon agenda and the plan to close gaps, which includes investment projects for the benefit of indigenous communities
