As we have read here today many holders have now bailed given the uncertainty increases into the Easter deadline.

I still think he will table a bid but I am getting concerned about the likely level?

Perhaps he should have got his ducks in a row before suggesting he would bid to take it private?

This is a weird one.

If he doesn’t deliver enough to hold the price and offer a good outlook the major shareholders will withdraw their support of him and force the BOD/CEOto accept the offer.

The CEO has to deliver a belter to survive!

To be fair he doesn’t need 30% to bid for the company.

There is no benefit to him given the real cost is covering the £100m + debt.

So it’s largely irrelevant IMHO.

Blackrock selling their fund positions due to FTSE index changes on Friday is completely unrelated to what happened earlier in week or your actions on Thursday.

Need a Bloomberg but I don’t think they were ever a major shareholder and probably had small positions in various funds inc trackers which would have been sold.

News didn’t impact the market for a reason

Not sure this is complete but they would have to sell the equity tracker as it was dropped from the FTSE all share index on Friday - too small

Might not be the reason but certainly had ripples last week although it’s usual to ‘place’ the shares in advance.

The BOD has to act in shareholders interests plus JD doesn’t want to damage the company.

It will be a balance but buying over 30% in the market would just be daft as it FORCES him to make an offer at a certain price.

It’s a question of balance IMHO.

He won’t buy in the market breaching 30% ahead of making an offer in my opinion.

Absolutely no point just costs him more and reduces his options.

Sometimes these shorts just below the reporting threshold deliberately pop up above the 0.5 to spook the market and so allow them to close?

Let’s see if this goes back down below 0.5 but we will never know what it’s gone down to!
