The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
'I’ll sit it out, may add in the coming weeks if it falls below the Placing price as can’t see what will drive this higher in the short term.'
I did apply, but also have some spare cash to enable me to average down.
I still think 54p is massively good value as a LTH and buying at 50p or 54p wont make an awful lot of difference, however i cant quite get my head around why this isn't sat at the placing price now and for the next couple of weeks?
Happy for someone to give me a reasoned view, with no FUD or ramping.
Strangy the most sensible/realistic thing i have seen on here for ages.
The reality is that we all now should be aware that a news blackout is in place.
If this is the case then potential partners and buyers are looking at the Avacta products.
have people not thought that the reason why there has been no news, no denials, no pandering to some posters etc, is that they just are not allowed to at the moment for the exact reasons you have mentioned.
A few of the papers have it online as well.
It would be interesting to know what other BP think about that.
Would they start to think Moderna now have a product that could possibly take a large share of the market in a few years and they had better try and find something that gets them into the game or do they just do nothing?
Was anyone else expecting a rise after yesterdays RNS and then a slow tick up over the next week leading up to the 13th and then a nice big re-rate.
IMVHO the RNS is many days away yet.
This is a classic pattern of small drops each day before big news is due, then there will be a reverse with some gains as leaks start to occur or when people close to it can see its getting very close.
I also wouldn't be surprised to see a circa 10% rise the day before the RNS
I don't mind when the RNS/Data comes out, however I would have the mother of all weekends if it came out at 16:31 on a Friday, any Friday. There maybe some who would have a less enjoyable weekend, but hey you pay your money you take your chances.
I would disagree.
i would suggest everything above 159.500 (Bid?) is a buy, which would more buys than sells surely?
come on you have to admit that ;)
Just bought 6157 shares (10k) @ 162.4 on HL no problem
Surely the 2026 comment is a not so subtle hint to BP.
We absolutely know it works. It can be out there in 2026, we would do it however if you want a piece come and get it.
Oh and bring the biggest sack full of money you have because we are not letting it go on the cheap.
You often hear ‘you wouldn’t want to be out of this over the weekend’, with this you can’t really risk being out of it overnight. We are going to wake up one morning and all hell will have broken loose. try getting in/back in then.
So excited for the future of this, especially those that will benefit from this.
Congratulations to all of you, I've never read this board before but I'm sure there are a lot of LTH who are happy with their position now. Genuinely pleased for you. I hold no shares and not in a position to buy in, so this is not a ramp, however i felt the need to share my story.
This will be a game changer.
I have had an increasing PSA score over the last 12 months, but the doctors were not sure what it was telling them because the MRI scans were inconclusive. I had a PSA blood test every 3months for just over a year before the doctors decided the best option was to have a prostate biopsy.
I had a prostate biopsy 10 days ago, which by the looks of it I wouldn't have needed had this been available.
They took 24 biopsies under a general anesthetic. Procedure went well, although a lot of pain on completion, followed by a couple of days pain killers, not being able to sit down, an uncomfortable few days.
10 days on and still a bit sore to sit properly for any length of time.
I assume i wouldn't have had to go through all of that had this test been available? so when it becomes the norm that will save a lot of time, money and pain?
I genuinely hope this makes things easier in the future.

This was the big take away for me from this mornings RNS’s. Big clue as to why he was brought onboard.
‘The Company was eventually sold to Triton Partners for a total consideration of c.£1.3 billion in April 2022.’
‘executed an acquisitive growth journey before successfully being acquired by a strategic buyer in 2022.’
Agree, he knows exactly the potential of what he is sitting on and when that is delivered most will agree that it will be/have been fully deserved.
i guess to appease people (Not that he has to) but also to show just how confident he is, may the bonuses and pay increases could have been directly linked to share price i.e WHEN it gets to £5 bonus of £500,000, then x££££ for every £1 rise thereafter, surely if that was the case no-one would have an issue with that.
'In my mind, This really points to ggp or whyloo to the larger potential of buying telfar imo, and obviously havieron'
This was the first thing that sprang to my mind, is there now going to be a play for Telfer?
On paper it now looks a perfect fit, however not sure its that straightforward?
Thanks Bamps, i cant be the only one who was waiting for your input on the areas mentioned in the RNS.
Whilst i did try to dig further i have neither the time needed or the knowhow to find anywhere near the information you manage to find and so generously post.
I very rarely post, but always read and once again thank you for all of your input here and on GGPHelp, the amount of your own time you put into this to help others like myself is unselfish and generous to say the least. With some of the abuse you get i sometimes wonder why you do continue, however please don't stop because for every one person who has a go at you there are several more who really, genuinely appreciate it.
Thank you.
'Just checked by bin, still very full and just added a doppelganger'
Ditto, not much imagination with the new pseudonym, says all you really need to know
Speedy thanks for the response, really appreciate it.
Agree we would all be Rich if we knew which way the PoG is likely to go, although as I said previously I’m still surprised its this low, so agree the only way is up, as the song goes :)
Speedy, what is your assessment of the PoG at the moment. I thought the drop down to $1880 was over done and then down to $1830 was surprising, wasn’t it?
I went long at $1880 and again at $1840, and will continue whilst it stays below $1880.
Do you see it back above $1900 anytime soon?

4am UK time was 11pm Washington time where i happened to be, watching the state of the union speech. Although seeing as you are keeping tabs on me, i arrived back in the UK at 09:48 this Morning, having enjoyed a nice few days in Washington. Also just in case i should chose to post again, unlikely after your attack, i will be in New York during the last week of May where the clocks are also 5 hours behind UK time.
Yes i am heavily invested in GGP, where you will also see i very rarely post on there.
I also decided to invest here at the beginning of January, after following for a long time, having felt it was a good time to get in.
If you check all my posts over the many years i have been on LSE you will not find a single derogatory comment.
i only chose to post if i feel i can contribute, in this case i felt it was worthy of a comment. I normally work on the basis of 'if you have nothing useful to say, its better to say nothing at all'. Wise advice you may wish to take onboard? Although i very much doubt it.
I am fully onboard and fully support Avacta, i thought that Myles note was truly outstanding and went a long way to backing up my initial positive observations, starting from some awesome posts from those on here who know who they are.
If you wonder why some people remain silent and rarely post, its because of clowns like you, with your post.
I stated FACT, it is what he said in his speech, it was RELEVANT, it had NOT been mentioned before which is rare because of the EXCELLENT posters on here. In your response, you couldn't even be bothered to check the FACTs, just go on the attack.
I can't be bothered to read any of your previous posts, so don't know where you stand, however with that response you are straight in the green bin.
Not everyone who post occasionally, or for the first time is a 'deramper' or whatever term people use or think. Maybe give some people some slack and the benefit of doubt in future.
it would be good if they put out the RNS 2/3 days before and let everyone absorb it, would make for a very interesting science day. Surely the big investos would be crawling over themselves to get a piece of the action?
It could have been what Biden said about Big Pharmas in his state of the union speech ?
Pretty damning of big pharmas and a few restrictions heading their way, which if it is implemented will affect the market value of most drugs they supply
